Since the war,the development of "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools has experienced a tortuous process of constant change and reform.This paper mainly studies how the "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools was conducted after the war,what changes have taken place since the war,and the phenomena reflected by these changes.First of all,this paper reviews the evolution of "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools from the post-war period to the time before Abe took office,and summarizes the objectives,contents and implementation approaches of "patriotism" education in primary and secondary schools during this period.Then,this paper analyzes the changes in patriotism education in Japan’s primary and secondary schools under the influence of "patriotic" education,which was written into the Basic Law of Education and the reform of "moral discipline",after Abe came to power.Finally,this paper analyzes the positive role and existing problems of "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools from an overall perspective.Based on this,it makes an overall evaluation of "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools postwar.The study found that the "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools changed significantly before and after Abe came to power.Before Abe took office,the "patriotism" education had a low proportion in the moral education of primary and secondary schools,which was generally conducted in accordance with the educational concept of the basic law of education of Japan in 1947.However,the "patriotism" of primary and secondary schools after Abe came into power has been constantly strengthened in the intervention of Abe regime,serving to realize the political intention of Abe regime.It has violated the requirement of the basic law of education in 1947 that "no political party shall interfere in educational behaviors",and has shown a strong trend of "rightwing orientation".This research believes that the "patriotism" education in Japanese primary and secondary schools after the war is conducive to the expression of the patriotic feelings of Japanese primary and secondary school students,and plays a positive role in strengthening the national cohesion of Japan,carrying forward and inheriting the Japanese tradition and culture,and promoting the modernization process of Japan,which is necessary and reasonable.Postwar Japan "patriotism" education of primary and secondary schools,however,is under the condition of not completely solve the legacy of the war,under the influence of Political right deviation in Japan,"patriotism" education has been over-influenced by Japanese politics,ignored the personal development of primary and middle school students,and become a tool with rulers to achieve their political goals thought.This will have a far-reaching negative impact on the growth of Japanese primary and middle school students and even the future development of the whole Japanese society,which should arouse our attention and attention.
