| Graduate education is the top level of higher education,which can provide an important guarantee for the cultivation of high-end talents and scientific and technological innovation,and play a key role in the construction of a powerful country in education and science and technology,so it is crucial for individuals and countries.However,under the quality crisis caused by the expansion of graduate students’ scale,the call for quality from all walks of life is generally stronger.Training quality is the key to the scientific research quality and ability,and independent output high level papers is an important measure,the research to this study focused on the high level papers independent output process,explore the way to cultivate the necessary element of scientific research ability and here,and attention to the role of scientific research,the specific stage,thus provide enlightenment for selection and training of graduate students.This research according to the construction of "double top" university graduate student of university of university of H and W as the research object,using the interview method to 19 covering multidisciplinary professional doctoral and master’s in-depth interviews,to collect first-hand information to different postgraduate research output process,and based on the exploration under the different stages of scientific research graduate student needs to have the important element which can,these element can play the role is based on how to develop.On the basis of the data collected,this study based on continuous comparison analysis method can summarizes research element,and its role in phases in order to prepare phase(knowledge skills and research problem),the threshold stage(produce study idea and implementation intentions),the paper output stage(written and published)and self-verification(accomplishment and ability)four phase.It is found that in the stage of knowledge and skill preparation,graduate students should possess the general characteristics of diligence,earnestness and efficiency.In the preparation stage of the research question,it is necessary to master the taste and judgment of the topic selection and define the value and suitability of the topic selection.In the threshold crossing stage,it is necessary to have a strong thirst for knowledge and the pleasure of analyzing and solving problems and to form a driving force.It is also necessary to have perseverance,patience and anti-strike ability.When crossing the specific threshold of generating research idea and realizing research intention,it is necessary to understand the complete scientific research process of standardization and specialization,and form tacit skills such as idea perception and practical sensitivity.In the stage of research writing and publishing,it is necessary to master certain writing skills and publishing strategies.After the completion of the independent output,the graduate students usually confirm their own scientific research ability,and if this proves successful,the graduate students will go on to further their studies and choose an academic career.Among them,the most important personal traits are those that can help graduate students deal with the risks of scientific research interest,analysis and problem-solving fun,persistence and anti-strike ability.The most core scientific research ability is the silent skill,which is difficult to spread through words or languages,and requires individuals to engage in scientific research practice for a long time,and it is acquired based on the interaction with mature researchers,the imitation and observation of exemplary behavior.In addition,in view of the significant role of tutors in the improvement of postgraduate research capability,this study will explore the effective ways of mentoring.On the one hand,the guidance of the tutor focuses on the macro direction,and the specific problems can be actively explored by the individual graduate students.On the other hand,the supervisor should consciously guide the graduate students through the whole research process and acquire the systematic research ability.Finally,this study provides the selection and training of graduate students three piece of advice: first,a doctoral student selection should focus on intellectual curiosity,patience and perseverance,resistance to strike capability and high degree of confidence,personal traits,stress that these qualities in the entrance examination,but with the help of relevant test,apply for examination and approval system way,to identify these aspects for students.Second,the tutor should guide the graduate students to go through the process of independent scientific research,and give them some independent time and space for self-exploration,so that they can develop independent research ability in a separate situation.Third,postgraduates should strengthen the academic exchanges with their peers in small schools.Training institutions and tutors can invest necessary resources to encourage postgraduates to participate in formal exchange activities such as academic forums and conferences in specific directions.Postgraduates can also take the initiative to seek contacts with their peers in small schools.At the same time,the research also reflects on the prevailing form of teacher-student cooperative research,and thinks that there is a certain degree of tension between knowledge production efficiency and scientific research training effect,and the tutor should master the size between them to achieve a delicate balance. |
