| For decades, the huge scale and changing development of the floating population have had an important and far-reaching impact on China’s economic development.Innovative entrepreneurship is a new driving force for economic development. At present, the activity of innovative entrepreneurial activities in China is regionally differentiated. How does the floating population as the main entrepreneur in entrepreneurial activities affect the activity of innovative entrepreneurship in China’s provinces and cities? In order to answer this question, this article combines location selection theory and occupation selection theory to explain the mechanism of the floating population’s effect on innovative entrepreneurial activity, and uses data from 31 provinces and cities in mainland China from 2008 to 2017 to empirically test this problem:Using spatial econometrics, setting four spatial weighting matrices such as population mobility based on geographic and socioeconomic characteristics, and establishing static and dynamic spatial panel models to investigate the spatial effects of innovative entrepreneurial activities and the impact of floating population on their activity influences. The study found that the static model has a bias in the estimation of spatial correlation, and the dynamic model incorporates the dependent variable lag item to test the impact of the missing potential factors on innovative entrepreneurial activities,so that the model’s estimation results can be partially corrected, and finally the following Conclusion:Regional innovative entrepreneurial activities have a significant positive spatial correlation. The eastern and coastal regions, and the central region have formed a gathering place for innovative entrepreneurial activities, which is highly active. Both geographical and socio-economic characteristics have a significant positive spatial impact on the activity of innovative entrepreneurship.Among the socio-economic characteristics, the impact of population migration on innovative entrepreneurial activities is smaller than the level of economic development and human capital, but the impact is also significant:innovative entrepreneurial activities in regions with similar population mobility have relatively close contacts and have strong Dependence; The larger the scale of floating population is,the stronger the spatial spillover effect will be,and then the more active the innovative entrepreneurship will be. |
