The situation of net population outflow in Northeast China has been around for a long time,and Liaoning Province has seen a net outflow of population since 2015.After that,the net outflow of population is about 50,000 people every year.The net outflow of population has led to the continuous reduction of the population size of Liaoning Province,Insufficient labor supply and the constant loss of talents,how to retain the local population and attract the foreign population has become an urgent problem to be solved.As an important "remuneration mechanism",occupation determines the quantity and quality of social resources that individuals can obtain,thereby affecting all aspects of migration decisions,willingness to stay,employment status,and income gap of the migrant population.Therefore,understanding the current status of occupational choices of the floating population in Liaoning Province and the factors affecting occupational choices will help to understand the industrial structure of Liaoning Province,clarify the career development path of the floating population,and promote population inflow.Based on the floating population push-pull theory and occupational choice theory,based on the dynamic survey data of the mobile population in Liaoning Province in 2017,Disordered logistic regression analysis found that the occupational choices of the floating population in Liaoning Province are mainly affected by individual characteristics and socioeconomic characteristics,while the mobility characteristics have no obvious influence on their occupational choices.Among them,young,married,highly educated migrants with fixed employers have greater initiative in choosing careers.When the total working hours are short,migrants tend to choose managers and clerks.With the increase in the number of people,the tendency to choose business service personnel is more obvious.Specifically,ethnic minority migrants who are married,have a high level of education,and have short weekly working hours are more likely to choose managers and clerks;those with a high level of education,short weekly working hours,small family size,and regular employers Young male married migrants are more likely to choose professional and technical personnel;Young married male non-agricultural migrants with low education level,small family size,and fixed employers are more likely to choose industrial workers.On the basis of the research conclusions,this article puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the rational employment and job selection of the floating population in Liaoning Province.The main measures include: speed up the optimization of the industrial structure and create more jobs;improve the quality of the population through multiple channels and broaden the range of career choices for the floating population;Improve social security and public services,improve the ability of Liaoning Province to attract and retain talents;break the dual labor market structure,and unblock career choices and promotion channels.
