With the advent of the information age,the existing knowledge system has been updated at an unprecedented speed.From the era of agriculture and animal husbandry to the information age,the development pace of education is highly consistent with that of The Times.Education is the product of the development of The Times.however,the current secondary stage in our country is still in "method of knowledge,innovation" of the traditional teaching mode is given priority to,this to develop secondary vocational students' self learning ability,to adapt to the future career development requirements and realize social life value has obvious effect,especially for the interdisciplinarity is distinct,the knowledge structure is complex,tourism professional content updates quickly,is more important.The information processing in the brain is essential for individual development information age is an important ability request,mind mapping as promote brain stimulation and finishing of a nonlinear visualization tool of thinking,is the current information age development of a new type of teaching method,it for improving individual self learning ability,reduce degree of difficulty of the cognitive individual knowledge,help individuals to set up global thinking,and stimulate students' learning enthusiasm and so on all has the important application value.Therefore,this study is based on dual coding theory,constructivist learning theory and brain science theory through the use of literature research method,interview and communication method,questionnaire survey method,educational experiment method and other research methods.Taking the tourism service and management major of a secondary vocational school in Changsha as an example,it is divided into three stages.The first stage is the experimental preparationstage.Based on the questionnaire survey and interviews,the current situation of secondary vocational tourism major students in the course "introduction to tourism" is comprehensively understood.Secondly,in the application and implementation stage,the thinking map is applied to the teaching practice through the selection of specific application examples,and the effect is evaluated and reflected.Finally,in the test phase of the experimental effect,the application effect of mind mapping was evaluated from seven dimensions based on questionnaire survey and interview and communication,and then the application effect of mind mapping was compared and analyzed based on the academic performance as a reference,and the relevant research hypothesis was verified.The research finds that :(1)mind mapping has a significant effect on improving the learning interest of secondary vocational school students,making them more likely to have a pleasant emotional experience;(2)mind mapping has a positive effect on improving the learning habits of secondary vocational school students,but the degree of improvement is different;(3)mind mapping plays a positive role in promoting the learning initiative of secondary vocational school students,and is greatly influenced by internal and external factors such as exam pressure and anxiety before class;(4)mind mapping can improve students' classroom satisfaction and willingness to use it simultaneously;(5)mind mapping can fit the learning preference and thinking mode of secondary vocational school students,and is also susceptible to the influence of teachers' teaching methods;(6)mind mapping is helpful for secondary vocational students to extract knowledge effectively.The above results prove that the mind mapping can improve the learning ability of secondary vocational students in the major of tourism to different degrees in the dimensions of "happy learning","good learning","diligent learning","thinking learning","willing to learn","love learning",and "excellentlearning".
