Preschool Bilingual Education In Xinjiang Review(2005-2015)

In recent years, the bilingual preschool education has been given a high priority by our nation. Especially in Xinjiang, for bilingual education, a lot of funding and policy supporting are given. Thus, the number of bilingual kindergartens has been increased and the enrollment of children has grown substantially. However, the relevant research about bilingual preschool education is very few. This thesis analyses articles about bilingual preschool education in Xinjiang of the recent decade by using content analysis method, and strive to make up for the gaps in the current study. The whole article is divided into four parts, each part addresses one perspective on the issue studied in this thesis. The structure is described as follows:the first chapter is introduction, we explained the background, motivation, related works, research difficulty, innovations and so on.In the second part, we collected and classified 161 articles in terms of five dimensions which are the number of research results, the distribution of research journals, the background of researchers, the content of research articles, the approach of research. Additionally, we do statistics on the decade findings about bilingual preschool education in Xinjiang; In the third part,According to the results of the statistical analysis of the current study achievements, as well as the deficiencies. The main findings of the current research showed an incensement of attentions on bilingual preschool education, and the attention needs to be continued. Furthermore, the quality of the articles are not high,many problems are still existing in research content and the methods in those articles are not rich enough. In the fourth part, we give corresponding solutions to the issues raised by flexibly using the modern educational theory, which provides theoretical basis for future researchers to study bilingual preschool education in Xinjiang.However, due to limitation of research conditions, our work is based on 161 articles not fieldwork, which needs to be improved in the future work and makes contribution to the bilingual preschool education.
