The rapid development of information and communication technology(ICT),artificial intelligence and big data has had a profound impact on education.Although affected by the outbreak of COVID-19 suddenly in 2020,schools of all levels and types actively responded to the call of "no suspension of classes" and started teaching online.This epidemic has accelerated the application and deep integration of ICT in teaching,greatly promoting the process of education informatization,while it is also a test of teachers’ information literacy.Making full use of existing ICT to transform teaching methods which realizes educational innovation has become the due meaning of teachers’ professional quality under the new situation.In order to effectively explore the current situation of junior high school teachers’ information literacy,this study conducted a research with questionnaire survey of 308 junior high school teachers,in X City,Henan Province,interview and field observation were also used in the research.The results show that the overall information literacy of junior high school teachers is not very high.The existing problems are as follows: lack of action awareness;The information knowledge is mainly concentrated in the practical knowledge related to teaching;The integration ability between ICT and subject teaching is not high.The reasons for the above problems mainly include three aspects: for teachers,having a lot of work tasks,junior high school teachers have no enough time and energy to consciously improve their own quality;Teachers pay more attention to theoretical study than practical application;For the school,the school does not pay enough attention to the promotion of teachers’ information literacy,and lacks of the atmosphere to improve teachers’ information literacy.What’s more,the training activities of the school are not scientific and effective.For the government,Systematic training needs to be strengthened;The network learning and communication platform needs to be improved.Based on the problems,this paper puts forward the following strategies to promote the information literacy of junior high school teachers: teachers need to strengthen own information awareness,expand own information knowledge,improve own information ability,and strengthen the construction of information ethics;Schools need to take multiple measures to mobilize teachers to actively improve the information literacy;The governments at all levels should deepen the reform of education and teaching to comprehensively support the improvement of teachers’ information literacy.
