| With the acceleration of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change,China’s economic development has entered a new normal,and higher education has also entered a new stage.Under this background,the New Engineering Program was timely launched,which set off the quality revolution of higher engineering education in China.Teachers are the key to improve the quality of higher engineering education.Based on this,this study,from the perspective of competency research in the field of education and based on the "new " of New Engineering Program,constructs a competency model for new engineering teachers in colleges and universities through empirical research methods,and explores the professional development path for new engineering teachers in colleges and universities.First of all,this study used the literature methodology,the comb and the new policy of engineering construction and engineering teachers text,literature,summarized the knowledge accomplishment,classroom teaching ability,engineering practice ability,engineering quality,and personal moral accomplishment of five dimensions of 24 characteristic element at the beginning of the new engineering teacher competence quality characteristics.Secondly,this study used the interview method to interview senior experts in the field of engineering around the construction of new engineering,the competency quality of new engineering teachers and the preliminary design of the competency index system of new engineering teachers.By sorting out the interview data and combining the suggestions of the interview experts,this study revised and improved the competency characteristics originally proposed,and finally determined the competency index system of new engineering teachers in colleges and universities,which covers four dimensions of knowledge literacy,engineering literacy,teaching literacy,and personal literacy and 14 specific characteristic qualities.Finally,based on the constructed competency index system of new engineering teachers in colleges and universities,this study compiled the "Competency index hierarchy matrix questionnaire for new engineering teachers in colleges and universities",in which relevant experts evaluated the importance of competency characteristics and gave reasonable scores to competency qualities.A new "four-dimensional integrated" competency model for engineering teachers in colleges and universities is constructed,which consists of knowledge literacy,engineering literacy,teaching literacy and personal literacy.The first dimension is knowledge literacy,which is the integration of cross knowledge and cross knowledge.The second dimension is engineering literacy,which is the unity of theoretical knowledge and practical ability;The third dimension is teaching literacy,which is the optimization of educational ideas and teaching skills;The four dimensions is personal literacy,which is the simultaneous development of collaborative innovation and sustainable development.Combined with the actual situation of engineering teachers in colleges and universities in China and the weight of each factor in the competency index system,this study conducted multi-dimensional analysis and relationship exploration on the competence of new engineering teachers.In the depth of parsing the connotation on the basis of competence quality,according to the new engineering teacher professional role as longitudinal dimension,with new engineering teachers and professional relations involved as a horizontal dimension,put forward "four dimensional integration" new engineering in colleges and universities teacher competency model of internal structure relation,namely the two-dimensional framework: "role x relationship".From the perspective of students,new engineering teachers in Chinese colleges and universities are educators whose main responsibility is to impart new engineering knowledge.From the perspective of enterprises,new engineering teachers in Chinese universities are engineers,whose main responsibility is to solve practical engineering problems.From the perspective of society,the new engineering teachers in Chinese colleges and universities are researchers,whose main responsibility is to innovate and research applied technology and technology.From the perspective of teachers,new engineering teachers in Chinese universities are learners and their main responsibility is to improve their own sustainable development ability.In addition,based on the constructed "four-dimensional integrated" new engineering teacher competency model,this study believes that the development path of new engineering teachers in colleges and universities needs the linkage of the government,universities and enterprises.The specific measures are to play the leading role of the government and build a joint support system of direction guidance,funding support and policy guarantee.We will implement the principal role of colleges and universities and improve the system of teaching and training,academic exchanges,and assessment and incentive for new engineering teachers.We will strengthen support for enterprises and build a normal platform for two-way exchanges and cooperation between university and enterprise personnel. |
