A Research On Constructing The Competency Model Of Guangzhou Social Workers

Since China implemented the policy of reform and opening up,China's economy has achieved rapid development.However,the numerous social problems are resulted.In order to solve the social problems,China has introduced the advanced concept of social work in the West.The CPC Central Committee and the State Council have issued a series of policies for the development of social work,which require strengthening the development of professional personnel for social work and promoting the evaluation and encouragement work of professional personnel for social work.Therefore,we should establish a reasonable social worker quality evaluation system as soon as possible to promote the healthy development of social work in China and enhance the well-being of social workers.At present,there are only a few scholars in China to analyze the quality of social workers and establish a model.To study the construction of competency model for Guangzhou social workers,this article takes Guangzhou social workers as the research object,and adopts the research route of "analyzing the present status of competency evaluation-forming the initial competency evaluation indexes of social workers-testing the initial evaluation indexes and forming the final evaluation indexes-confirming the weight value of each index,building the competency model-putting forward the application".Firstly,this paper introduces the relevant literatures in China and other countries,laying the theoretical foundation for this paper.Secondly,through knowing the work status and competency evaluation status of social workers in Guangzhou city by the questionnaire survey method,this paper summarizes the job status and satisfactions of competency evaluation status for social workers in Guangzhou city,and puts forward the need to construct the competency model of social workers in Guangzhou city.Thirdly,the evaluation indexes of competency model for social workers involved in the former literatures are summarized through literature research,and the initial evaluation indexes are obtained.Fourthly,by means of questionnaire to a small number of experts,the initial evaluation indexes are selected through the method of grey statistical analysis.Fifthly,by means of the questionnaire survey to a large number of social workers in Guangzhou,SPSS statistical methods are used to test the initial indexes,finally forming 4 secondary indexes and 25 tertiary indexes of the quality model.Sixthly,through using improved analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight value of each evaluation index,the competency model of social workers in Guangzhou city is constructed in the end,and some reasonable suggestions are put forward.Finally,this paper analyzes the application process,application examples and application prospects of this competency model.
