The theme activity is a series of comprehensive educational activities centered on children’s life and experience,reflecting the new outlook on children,education and development of kindergarten curriculum reform,which not only has positive significance for promoting the comprehensive and harmonious development of young children,but also is conducive to promoting the professional growth of kindergarten teachers and improving the quality of kindergarten education.In the form of thematic activities for preschool education of environmental protection is an important way to improve the comprehensive environmental protection quality of young children,environmental protection education theme activities to children’s own interest,experience and needs as the starting point,the consolidation of multi-faceted educational resources,the construction of orderly,rich content,diverse forms of theme activities programs,to guide young children to take the initiative to build environmental protection experience.Based on the theory of educational ecology and Lucas’ theory of environmental education,this study systematically discusses the scientific concept of the design and implementation of the theme activities of environmental education in kindergartens,and designs and implements the theme activities of environmental education on the basis of theoretical basis combined with the results of practical research.Comprehensively taking the methods of observation,interview and others in this study,with 36 children and some parents of class C in kindergarden S as the research object,by coopertaing with the teacher T1,teacher T2 and teacher T3 of class C for nearly four months.The researcher in perparation stage through observation and interview,initially understand the current situation of environmental education in this class,design and implement this "environmental angel" theme program,and the reflection and evaluation through the whole process,for the effective development of environmental education theme activities to provide a basis for improvement.In the course of designing and implementing this environmental education theme activity,always adhere to the educational concept based on early childhood development,and try to construct a scientific and reasonable,rich and interesting environmental education theme activity program.The study found that the children in this class have mastered the basic environmental knowledge more comprehensively based on the original experience through the study of environmental education theme activities,enhanced the awareness of respecting nature and protecting the environment,and gradually developed good environmental behavior habits in daily life.Combined with the practical effect of this action study,the researchers concluded that the following conclusions: Kindergarten environmental education should be carried out in a thematic way,the development of environmental education theme activities has multiple values,action research is an effective way to improve environmental education theme activities,kindergarten environmental education theme activities can be carried out normally.In order to improve the quality of environmental education theme activities in kindergartens and improve the comprehensive environmental literacy of young children,the researchers suggest that teacher training should be strengthened,high-quality environmental education teachers should be established,environmental education practice should be built a systematic and coherent thematic activities program,and strengthen cooperation inside and outside the park to form a "Trinity" education force.
