Research On The Job Stress Of Counselors In Higher Vocational Colleges

Counselors are the first-line workers in the ideological and political education and student management of college students,at the same time,as the instructor and guide for the healthy growth of college students,they shoulder a major mission.Facing the college environment under the new situation,with the expansion of college enrollment in recent years,the number of students has increased sharply,and the difficulty of daily management for counselors has also increased,many vocational college counselors began to produce more or less work pressure.Higher vocational colleges are a special part of the scope of colleges and universities,it is based on the particularity that the student level is lower than that of undergraduate colleges and the entrance threshold of students is generally lower than that of undergraduate colleges,the work pressure of vocational college counselors will be greater.In order to understand the work pressure of counselors in higher vocational colleges in our country,this study takes the on-the-job counselors of GM,SX,and YS three higher vocational colleges as the research object,and conducts an in-depth study on the work pressure of counselors.On the basis of consulting a large number of college counselors,work pressure and other fields of literature,the work pressure of three higher vocational college counselors was investigated and researched,it is found that the work pressure of counselors in higher vocational colleges exists in four aspects: ability improvement,student management,workload,and career development;By comparing the average score and dispersion of different dimensions of counselor’s work stress,this paper analyzes the status quo of counselor’s work stress of different sex,age,full-time and part-time job,working years and marital status.Through investigation and research,this article proposes countermeasures for counselors’ work pressure from two aspects: counselors and higher vocational colleges:on the personal level,counselors should start to reduce work pressure from the aspects of management mode,management art,and improvement of their own quality;for colleges and universities,they should actively pay attention to the work pressure of counselors,clarify the work responsibilities of supervisors,construct counselors’ psychological counseling mechanism,and optimize the quality structure of counselors.The research in this article arouses the attention of schools and society to the work pressure of counselors,and can provide theoretical basis and practical reference for providing countermeasures to reduce the work pressure of counselors in higher vocational colleges.
