As an abstract sound art,music plays an important role in the development of children’s aesthetic ability.Every child has "the instinct of Muse",and music is the way of their communication and the carrier of their emotion.Aesthetic preference is the specific expression of children’s aesthetic interest,is the internal power to stimulate children’s aesthetic perception,and has guidance for children’s aesthetic ability.However,in the face of a vast number of music pieces,it is worth thinking about how to respect children’s aesthetic taste and promote the development of their aesthetic ability when adults choose works.In this study,random sampling method was used to take a kindergarten in Wuhan as the sampling object,and a senior class was selected as the research object,including 15 boys and 15 girls,a total of 30 children were included in the data analysis.This research is mainly based on the experimental method,supplemented by the interview method.Children are required to make aesthetic choices for six pieces of music in the natural state,and then they are interviewed immediately.Using spss26.0 to describe the experimental data and Pearson correlation coefficient analysis,this paper investigates the performance of senior class children’s aesthetic preference for music works in two dimensions of different emotional expression style and speed,and analyzes the basic characteristics and influencing factors of senior class children’s aesthetic preference for music pieces combined with their specific performance and interview content.Finally,according to the research results,the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to carry out music appreciation activities in kindergartens.The results are as follows:First,Generally,the children in the senior class have a high preference for the six pieces of music selected in the experiment,and there is no significant difference.Specifically speaking,in the dimension of emotional expression style,senior class children prefer the most relaxed and lively music works,followed by calm,dull and sad music;in the dimension of speed,the highest preference is medium speed music,followed by slow and fast music.Second,There is no significant gender difference in the dimension of emotional expression;in the dimension of speed,there is a significant gender difference in the aesthetic preference of senior class children for fast music.In the aspect of children’s familiarity and preference for music pieces,there is a significant positive correlation between familiarity and children’s aesthetic preference for music with different emotional styles,but there is no correlation between familiarity and children’s aesthetic level for music with different speeds.Third,The characteristics of children’s aesthetic preference for music pieces are:first,children’s aesthetic preference for music works is consistent;second,children’s aesthetic preference for music works is partial;third,children’s aesthetic preference for music works is non artistic and empirical.Fourth,There are two kinds of factors that affect children’s aesthetic choice of music:the main body and the external.The main influencing factors include the development level of children’s aesthetic ability,gender and children’s experience.The external factors include music factors,kindergarten music appreciation activities and living environment.Finally,Based on the influencing factors,the educational suggestions for kindergarten music appreciation activities are as follows:choosing suitable music pieces;respecting children’s emotional experience;children’s multiple sensory connection.
