| In the new era,all aspects of China have entered a new trend of development,and the industry is continuously upgraded,and the economic structure adjustment continues to accelerate.Vocational education,as one of the important types of education,plays a pivotal role in economic development.The evaluation of higher vocational colleges plays an significant role in adhering to the correct direction of running higher vocational colleges and ensuring the level of running a school and the quality of talent training.Only the comprehensive evaluation of higher vocational colleges and the simultaneous use of input and output indicators to rank higher vocational colleges cannot meet the needs of improving the quality of higher vocational education.It is urgent to improve and perfect the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges.This research is conducted under the background of deepening education reform in the new era.It is based on resource dependence theory,university social function theory and stakeholder theory,comprehensively using literature research methods,investigation research methods,and factor analysis methods.Based on the analysis of policy documents,literature data and the ranking practice of evaluation institutions,a preliminary design of the ranking index system for higher vocational colleges was designed,and then the index system was further optimized through empirical investigations and the index weights were determined.Finally,46 higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province were ranked to verify the scientificity and feasibility of the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this research is divided into three parts.The first part is theoretical and practical analysis.Define the three core concepts of higher vocational colleges,higher vocational college rankings and the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges;discuss the necessity,urgency and reliability of the research on the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges;evaluate and analyze 5 representative rankings of higher vocational colleges and their index systems to lay the foundation for the construction of the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges.The second part is the construction of the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges.First of all,according to the characteristics of higher vocational colleges,based on the analysis of national higher vocational education policies and requirements,the ranking practice of higher vocational colleges,and the research literature of higher vocational colleges,the paper initially constructed a ranking index system for higher vocational colleges;secondly,the importance of indicators was determined through questionnaires,and project analysis and factor analysis were used to optimize the indicator system.The ranking index system of higher vocational colleges including employment quality,teaching reform,professional courses,teaching staff and social services and 26 indicators was constructed.Finally,the indicators were determined by the factor analysis method.The third part is the empirical test of the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges.Specifically,based on the analysis of the status quo of the types of higher vocational colleges in my country,46 higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province are selected for the test ranking.The overall and individual analysis of the ranking results show that the evaluation results are consistent with the national official evaluation results,and the application of the ranking index system of vocational colleges can find practical problems in the overall and individual development of vocational colleges.Therefore,the ranking index system of higher vocational colleges is scientific and feasible.Finally,it puts forward suggestions on the improvement of the existing ranking index system of higher vocational colleges and the guarantee conditions for its application. |
