As a unique literary genre,fables are philosophic,allegorical and narrative.There are many excellent Chinese and foreign fables in the Primary School Chinese Textbook.Most of the fables in the primary school Chinese textbooks edited by Ministry are from Chinese fables of the pre-Qin period or Aesop’s fables,and there are only a few contemporary fables.Based on pupils’ cognitive abilities and their reading levels,most of the fables have been adapted to a certain extent while being selected into textbooks.The fables in the primary school Chinese textbooks edited by Ministry show obvious changes in the aspects of story roles,story plots,moral representation,language style and so on.In addition to the introduction,this article is divided into four chapters,the specific content is as follows:In Chapter One,the author discusses the educational value of fables.This paper analyzes the fables from three aspects: the development of children’s mind,the improvement of primary school students’ Chinese subject accomplishment and the moral education function of the fables.And it concludes that it is with realistic significance for the fables to be selected into primary school Chinese textbooks.The second chapter collates and analyzes the situations of the fable adaptation in the Primary School Chinese textbooks edited by Ministry.First of all,the author makes statistics of the fable selections in the textbook,and summarizes that the original fables have been adapted in the aspects of the roles of the story,the plots of the story,the presentation of the fables and so on.Finally,according to these adaptations,the author puts forward four ways of fables adaptation: adding the roles of the story,adding the plots of the story,highlighting the strengthening and setting the situation.In the third chapter,the author comments on the adaptation of the fables in the Chinese textbook of primary school.The adapted fables highlight the "childlike flavor",enhance the interest of the fables,reduce the difficulty of the understanding of the fables,and enhance the openness of the interpretation of the fables,all of these are the success of the adaptation of fables.At the same time,the adaptation of fables is too stereotyped.Therefore,it is suggested that the adaptation of the selection of fables should vary from paragraph to paragraph,and thedifficulty of the selection of fables should be reduced appropriately,the adaptation of the selected fables should be close to the children’s aesthetic abilities and other suggestions.In the fourth chapter,the author puts forward some teaching suggestions,such as constructing interesting class and interpreting fables from different angles.
