| The scale of Chinese migrants has experienced rapid growth stage at the beginning of the century. The total volume has continued to increase while the flow rate has slowed down, and the urbanization rate has stabilized.Under the new historical conditions, migrant development is facing new tasks, new requirements and new challenges.Currently, the "semi-urbanization" phenomenon of China is the core problem that population development needs to solve.Improving the level of social integration can better and faster promote the development level of new urbanization, and deepen the urbanization strategy.Social integration of migrants is a process of gradual tolerance and common development, which between locals and migrants from conflict to reconciliation, from passive to active, from passive to active, and from rejection to acceptance. The length and result of social integration are related to many factors, such as the migrants’ own development ability, residential intention, the economic structure, public policy and social system of the immigration place. This article studies the urban residence of migrants in Yunnan Province, which is a more targeted analysis of the social integration.First, analyze the "2017 Yunnan Province Migrants Dynamics Monitoring Survey Data" to get the structural characteristics of the migrants in Yunnan Province. The migrant in Yunnan Province shows obvious characteristics of geographical involution. The direction of the migrant is determined by geographical distance and relative economic attractiveness. The new generation migrant has become the main body of Yunnan migrant. The increase in the size of the elderly migrant requires a corresponding elderly service market. Then, comparing with the various provinces, through exploratory factor analysis,to evaluate the economic integration status of the working age migrants in Yunnan Province. The comprehensive score of economic integration of working age migrants in Yunnan Province is 25.58,lower than the national average level of economic integration. The housing situation of migrants is better than the employment situation, and better than the living standard.Which is able to provide good living conditions for migrants. The migrant population still has problems such as poor wages, high proportion of low-income,concentrated employment in the informal sector, and low labor contract signing rate. The protection of the employment rights of the migrant need attention. Finally, through the generalized logistic and the hierarchical linear regression model, explores the current status and influencing factors of the urban residential intention and cumulative resident length of migrants, and then comprehensively evaluates the urban integration of migrants in Yunnan Province. In 2017,the average residential intention score of total Yunnan migrant sample is 3.07,and the overall urban residential intention was not high. The urban residential intention of the employed migrants is significantly related to mobility characteristics, personal characteristics, and psychological factors.Psychological factors have the greatest positive impact on the intention. The longer the cumulative resident length, the stronger the intention to stay, and the faster the overall social integration process. In 2017,the average cumulative resident length of the employed Yunnan migrants reached 7 years and 8 months, with a maximum of 35 years and 7 months.Migrants in Yunnan Province has a certain degree of stability.Personal characteristics, mobility characteristics, and social psychological factors significantly affect the cumulative resident length, and the degree of influence of personal and social psychological factors is greater than that of mobility and economic characteristics. The empirical results show that the economic foundation has a slight negative impact on the accumulated length of stay.Personal income has a significant positive impact on the accumulated length of residence, but the impact is lower than the significant negative effect of living security and housing expenditure on the dependent variables.Put forward a controversial argument that the elevation of personal economic status will help the migrant population’s social integration and lower the integration threshold;but people with higher economic status generally have stronger integration capabilities and a wider range of options, may not stay longer in the cities where they flowed into. This article validates the human capital attribution theory of the economic integration of the migrant population in Yunnan Province. The research on the affecting factors shows that the establishment of new social capital, social status and social networks in the inflow area can increase the willingness to stay. There are significant positive effects of social capital and residence behavior, verifying the irreplaceable important role of social capital attribution in the study of urban integration of migrants. |
