Research On Residential Community Renewal Based On The Need Of Community Resources Of New Urban Migrants

The new-type urbanization focuses on the people-oriented concept, emphasizesthe equalization of public service, and highlights on the classificatory advancement.Great attention needs to be paid on the issue of the large group of new urban migrants’adaptation to the urban life.By2011, the urbanization rate in our country has accounted for51.3%, which notonly shows that the urban population in China has surpassed rural population for thefirst time, but also proves that there are a large number of new urban migrants in thecity. The new urban migrants is extensive in category, and various in types, includingintellectual migrants, labor migrants, policy migrants and the ecological migrants andso on. However, the new urban migrants, migrant workers in particular, are stilltreated differently from the urban citizens, regardless of their differences in incomeand personal abilities. They have no choice but to live in the cheap, simple and crudeurban villages, as well as the declining community which lack of public servicefacilities. Nevertheless, with the speeding up of urbanization, the problem of urbanvillages and declining community become much sharper, so the Community Renewalbecomes a typical movement of urbanization. This trend has greatly influenced thesurvival and living of the new labor-typed migrants.Therefore, this article takes the new urban migrants as the research object,including intellectual migrants, labor migrants，and makes field surveys of differenttypes of communities where they live. Through methods of qualitative andquantitative researches, analysis of the present situation and the characteristics ofcommunities, and basing on the need of community resources of new urban migrantsand local residents on the issue of Community Renewal, this thesis applies AHPhierarchy analysis and SPSS statistical analysis to build community “the need ofcommunity resources” evaluation index, and at last puts forward the communityrenewal and update strategy of the new urban migrants through the analysis of theevaluation index. According to the research results, in order to solve the problem ofspatial deprivation and injustice phenomena in the process of community renewal and update of the new urban migrants, the author in this thesis makes suggestions that themechanism for new urban migrants, for house leasing and the living facilities shouldbe improved, and meanwhile, more attention should be paid to spatial fair and justice.Under the concept of people-oriented and harmonious development, research oncommunity renewal and update strategy of the new urban migrants is not only helpfulto guide the update of different types of residential community in Xi’an, but alsocontributes to the intergradation of the new urban migrant with urban life, orderly, fairand in dignity, which is of extensive social significance for the construction of newurbanization and the steady progress of urbanization in Xi’an.
