| Science and technology sports have received more and more attention because of the unique charm,appreciation and the support of The 13 th Five-year Plan of Sports Industry.With the vigorous development of science and technology sports,more and more teenagers in Shanghai have begun to participate in it.In 2012,the establishment of the first batch of science and technology sports traditional schools provided these sports a good chance of rapid development.The integration of sports and education has been widely recognized by teenagers,their parents and teachers.Schools’ quality-oriented education reform in Shanghai is at the forefront of Chinese schools.As teenagers participating in science and technology sports is in line with the current situation and can be used as an example of Shanghai’s backup talent cultivation mechanism of scientific and technological innovation.Teenagers in Shanghai who participate in science and technology sports can not only master the professional knowledge of the sports,but also strengthen their physique.The sports can also cultivate their spirit of teamwork,competition,volition and exploration,which do have irreplaceable value in the growth of teenagers.However,with the increase of their study stress and the competition for further studies,many teenagers have to reduce their participation in science and technology sports or even give up,which will seriously affect the development of science and technology sports.In order to explore ways to encourage more teenagers in Shanghai to participate in science and technology sports,this article builds a conceptual model of the factors that affect teenagers’ participation in science and technology sports based on social cognitive theory,and conducts empirical tests as well.The results show that both environmental factors and individual factors will affect teenagers,who are in Shanghai,participating in science and technology sports,and environmental factors will also affect those teenagers’ participation through the mediating effect of individual cognitive factors.Specifically,school environment and family environment have a significant positive effect on self-efficacy,especially family environment;school environment and family environment have a significant positive effect on outcome expectations,while family environment plays an more important role in it;school environment,family environment,self-efficacy and outcome expectations have a positive effect on the behaviors of those teenagers’ participation of science and technology sports,which shows that self-efficacy are expected to have the most significant impact,followed by school environment,family environment and self-efficacy;the school environment and family environment have a significant positive effect on the behaviors of those teenagers’ participation in science and technology sports through the mediating effect of self-efficacy;the school environment and family environment have a significant positive effect on the behaviors of those teenagers’ participation in science and technology sports through the mediating effect of outcome expectations.However,there are few researches on the influencing factors of teenagers’ participation in science and technology sports in China at present.It is hoped that this research can promote the participation of teenagers.This article believes that a three-dimensional integrated improvement measure of "school-family-teenagers in Shanghai" should be established.Firstly,schools and parents should pay more attention to science and technology sports,and improve the school and family environment of participating in science and technology sports,especially school environment.Secondly,teenagers should improve self-efficacy.Compared with teachers,parents should encourage those children to participate in science and technology sports as often as possible and create a better atmosphere of participating in the sports.Thirdly,it will be better if government or schools focus on creating incentives and establishing more specific programme on science and technology sports to increase the expected benefits of teenagers who participate in science and technology sports in Shanghai and reduce their expectations risk. |
