This paper mainly adopts the method of literature,supplemented by the method of historical research,to study Albert Einstein’s thought of peace based on cosmopolitanism and its reference significance to the contemporary education of our country.The formation of Einstein’s cosmopolitan thought of peace is not only closely related to his cruel persecution in the bitter experience of the two world wars,but also to his experience of living in Germany,Switzerland,the United States and other countries.what’s more,it depends on his materialistic philosophy,the objectivity of the scientific work he is engaged in,the ethics of humanitarianism and the outlook on life that serves all mankind.He thinks that the tradition of nationalism and militarism is the root cause of inciting war and continues from generation to generation through the mechanism of the education system that hindered the progress of world peace.In order to eliminate war,we must use the perspective of internationalism to prevent narrow nationalism and nationalism,and even countries should cede part of their national sovereignty and jointly establish a supranational organization or a world government.so that it has the right to solve problems directly related to the security of all countries.As for how to abolish war and take the road of peace,Einstein also gave ideas and actions: not only necessary to awaken the moral force of society and people’s conscience and common sense,but also to call for world peace and educate the broad masses of people,especially young people,to jointly build a peaceful order.we should also consistently resist all kinds of "isms" that may lead to war or incite aggression,which will poison the hearts of the people sooner or later,even if they do not worsen the international atmosphere for the time being.After World War II,Einstein was very concerned about the catastrophe that atomic weapons might bring to mankind,and there were two statements specifically entitled "Atomic War or Peace." with regard to the growing arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union and the sharp confrontation between the two camps,Einstein was anxious and hoped that the world would achieve planned disarmament and put forward the idea of peaceful coexistence as a code of conduct for handling state-to-state relations.The solution put forward by Einstein based on cosmopolitanism provides a broader way of thinking for patriotism education and peace education in our country.Instead of turning patriotic education into narrow nationalism,we should develop internationalism based on loving the motherland,and oppose hegemonism and safeguard world peace.Peace education should be carried out in early childhood,taking the enhancement of the awareness of a community with a shared future for mankind as an important educational content to cultivate world citizens who adapt to global development.Peace education in China has been in a state of absence in social consciousness,although it is involved in primary and secondary education,but the content is limited to historical stories,and has not been seen in early childhood education.The solution put forward by Einstein based on cosmopolitanism provides a broader way of thinking for peace education in our country.On the one hand,we should make the public aware of the urgency of peace education,and should begin to popularize it in early childhood,on the other hand,we should enrich the content of peace education.As an indispensable part of peace education,patriotic education should not turn it into narrow nationalism,but should develop internationalism based on loving the motherland,oppose hegemonism and safeguard world peace,and take strengthening the awareness of a community with a shared future for mankind as an important educational content to cultivate world citizens who adapt to global development.
