Albert Einstein,a physicist,thinker and philosopher known as the “Person of The Century”.He has a vast and unique theoretical system that incorporates the knowledge of various disciplines,including a number of profound educational discourses that reflect his rich insights on teaching and learning.Study from the origin of Einstein’s teaching thought,the main content of Einstein’s teaching thought and the practical enlightenment of Einstein’s teaching thought three aspects comprehensively,systematically and profoundly grasp the original appearance and essence,research and explore the practical enlightenment of Einstein’s teaching thought to China’s basic education and teaching reform.The origins of Einstein’s teaching thought are divided into three areas: the social background of war and development;learning and teaching experience;profound philosophy.Einstein lived in the 20 th century,during which there were two world wars and the technological revolution of modern industry.The background of war and development gave birth to his intensive thinking on social issues.He used his experience and beliefs as a student and teacher as reference,and based his teaching thought on his sophisticated philosophical understanding: the epistemological philosophy which absorbs the rational core of empiricism;the social philosophy that undertakes the mission of justice for the world and mankind;the philosophy of life that pursues the meaning of truth,goodness and beauty.Einstein’s teaching thought mainly includes the following: the view of teaching objectives based on harmonious development,which implies the inner unity of knowledge,goodness and beauty,and strives for the development of independent thinking ability,social construction ability and creative thinking ability;the view of teaching contents with the intention of valuable gifts,which clarifies the design concept of equal emphasis on literature and science and foundation,and focuses on the implementation of the principles of ethics,foundation,difference and relevance of teaching contents;the ideal of self-responsibility in teaching implementation reflects the core characteristics of free action and individual responsibility,and emphasizes the use of role model education,practice,communication and discussion and visual display strategies;the teacher’s view of the role of the artist responds to the development needs of student’s moral rationality and aesthetic sensibilities,and advocates the flexible teacher’s ability to organize teaching content,ask questions in the classroom,and express themselves verbally.The enlightenment of Einstein’s teaching thought to the present teaching reform is mainly embodied as follows: optimizing the teaching objectives by strengthening the context of moral education and artistic creation;improving teaching content by coordinating academic measurement and academic emotion;improving teaching implementation by cultivating internal learning motivation and meta-cognitive strategies;helping teachers grow professionally by positioning their responsibility and competence.
