An Action Research On Homework Design Of Living Chinese Curriculum Based On Students’ Needs

During an internship in a special education school in Gansu Province,researchers found that teachers’ lack of awareness of homework design resulted in that teachers did not pay attention to the needs of students in their homework after living Chinese curriculum.Instead,they only assigned single sketching characters and reading texts.Students were required to do more homework for the strong,less homework for the second and no homework for the weak.This situation is not consistent with the purpose of special education and the requirements of the curriculum standards for compulsory education in special education schools(2016 edition).In addition,in the field of special education,there are not many researches on the homework and homework design,most of which are based on experience and have not been raised to the theoretical level.Therefore,the research attempts to focus on "student needs",under the guidance of the recent development area theory and Tao Xingzhi’s "life education" theory,using the method of action research,In accordance with the order of identifying problems,analyzing problems,determining measures,implementing actions,evaluating results,and summarizing reflections,a research was carried out on the homework design of living Chinese curriculum in the third grade of a special school in Gansu Province.The main purpose of this research is to explore how to design living Chinese curriculum homework that meets the needs of students? What is the impact of thinking about homework that meets the needs of students.The main findings are as follows:First,the design steps of the homework after the third grade living Chinese curriculum: design objectives → design content source → design the number of assignments → design difficulty → design types → design correction methods and correction standards.Observe the needs of Grade 3 students through observation and interview,and then connect these needs with homework design.Second,The impact of homework that meets the needs of students :(1)for students,can improve students’ interest in learning,enhance the development of students’ personality,cultivate students’ learning ability.(2)For teachers,it is helpful to better understand the needs of students and master the methods of designing homework to meet the needs of students.(3)For parents,they should understand their children better and pay attention to their needs.(4)For school education,it not only helps to improve the quality of homework completion,but also verifies the attainment of educational objectives.Based on the above content,this study suggests that several indicators of homework design should be taken as the dimensions of the design,and students’ needs should be fully considered in the design,so as to design the post-class homework that truly meets the needs of students.
