With the development of badminton technology,the competition between the two sides is becoming more and more fierce,the speed of attack and defense conversion is getting faster and faster,the intensity of the competition is increasing,and the physical requirements of badminton players are becoming higher and higher.Moving speed is one of the important physical qualities of badminton players.Having good moving speed is the premise to obtain the ideal hitting position.Scientific and reasonable physical training is the basis for improving the movement speed of badminton players.It also plays an important role in promoting the development of technology and tactics.In preparation for the London and Rio Olympics,the State Sports Administration worked with the United States physical rehabilitation agency to create a physical exercise function training team to introduce American physical training.Functional strength training also appears in the public at present,its training purpose is to improve the integrity of the body’s action chain,promote the improvement of the transmission efficiency of strength,reduce the injury of athletes and improve their sports ability.The purpose of this paper is whether the use of functional strength training in the strength training of young badminton players can affect the speed of movement.In this paper,24 young badminton players(14 male athletes and 10 female athletes)of Dandong No.2 Middle School,Liaoning Province,were divided into experimental group and control group according to the principle of equal number of men.After 8 weeks and 24 times of strength training,the two groups of athletes were tested for moving speed index.The results of the test group and the control group were analyzed respectively.The following conclusions were drawn:(1)Functional strength training can significantly improve the movement speed of young badminton players.(2)Traditional strength training can significantly improve the movement speed of young badminton players.(3)The effect of functional strength training in improving the movement speed of young badminton players is better than that of traditional strength training in the control group.
