| Academic procrastination is the performance of the student’s procrastination behavior in the academic situation,specifically that the student has the intention to complete the task but does not complete the academic task within the specified time,or the student finally completes the academic task,but the delay in the beginning of the task and produces an uncomfortable emotional experience.Negative academic delays can affect students’ learning,mood,and physical and mental health.Examples are declining academic performance,poor academic mood,and unhealthy physical condition.This study attempts to use cognitive behavior group counseling to improve students’ academic procrastination,improve their interest in learning,increase self-confidence,reduce procrastination behavior,and reduce academic procrastination.The study used a general procrastination scale compiled by Larry Lay in 1986 to survey primary school students,and screened 22 students who scored22% of the first 22 were subjects,divided into 11 students in the intervention group,of whom 3 were boys and 8 were girls,11 were in the control group,of whom 7 were boys and 4 were girls.The intervention group participated in about 60 minutes of group-assisted psychological activity once a week for five consecutive weeks,a total of five times.The control group did not have any psychological intervention during this period.The two groups conducted two tests before and after the Academic Procrastination Scale,and the time was consistent before and after the test to see if the mission’s auxiliary program was effective.The results of the study indicate that:1,primary school students’ academic procrastination is widespread,their level of procrastination is moderate,primary school students’ academic delay is mainly manifested in fear of failure and task aversion;2,the intervention group before and after the intervention score changes greatly,there are significant differences;3,The cognitive behavior group counseling can effectively reduce the degree of academic procrastination of primary school students.Suggestions: schools,teachers and parents should act lay emphasis on this problem and makes the model for pupils of the school should take the lead to behavior,and strive to create a good learning environment,improve the parentschool cooperative mechanism,work actively cooperate with the teacher,the teacher contact parents feedback,parents will implement specific work tasks,the tripartite joint together with love and patience to resolve students procrastination. |
