A Study On The Relationship Between APOE Gene Polymorphism And High-intensity Interval Training

Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To investigate the association between the polymorphic polymorphism of APOE gene rs405509 and the effect of high intensity interval trainingSubjects: No professional training experience,physical health of the non-sports major in college studentsMethods:Recruit 191 students without systematic training experience,physical health of non-sports major college students,three times a week,each 28 minutes,a period of 12 weeks of high-intensity interval training;Before and after training,the subjects’ aerobic exercise capacity indexes such as maximum oxygen uptake,body composition indexes such as height,weight and body fat percentage were tested.Venous blood was extracted to determine triglyceride,total cholesterol and other lipid indexes.The white blood cell DNA was extracted from the subjects,and the polymorphic locus information of APOE gene rs405509 was sequenced by gene microarray.The genotype frequency differences of rs405509 polymorphic loci and their compliance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium law were compared by X2 test.One-way analysis of variance multiple comparison(LSD)was used to detect data differences between each group,and paired t-test was used to compare the differences between the mean values before and after training.Findings:(1)In APOErs405509 polymorphic loci,the genotype frequencies were 0.571,0.346 and 0.084,respectively.Further stratification based on gender factors showed that genotype TT and allele T were more frequent in male and female genotypes,which complied with the H-W equilibrium law.(2)The initial levels of VO2 max,VO2max/kg,VCO2,HR and VE in the G allele group were better than those in the T allele group before training,but there was no significant difference among the genotypes.The body weight,body fat,fat-free body weight,waist-hip fat ratio and BMI of women with G allele before training were significantly higher than those with T allele(P<0.05).The initial levels of TG,HDL,LDL and TC in the G allele group before training were better than those in the T allele group significantly.(3)After training,the four indexes of VO2 max,VO2max/kg,VCO2 and VE were significantly increased,while HR was significantly decreased.Body composition index body fat,body fat percentage,and waist-hip fat ratio decreased significantly,fat-free body weight increased;The indexes of TG and LDL of blood lipid were significantly decreased,while TC and HDL were significantly increased.(4)There were significant differences in the effect of high intensity interval training among the subjects carrying T allele.The four indexes of VO2 max,VO2max/kg,VCO2 and VE in TT and GT genotypes were significantly increased,while HR was significantly decreased.The population fat,body fat percentage,and waist-hip fat ratio were significantly decreased in TT and GT genotypes,and fatless body weight was significantly increased in TT genotypes.BMI was significantly decreased in males and increased in females.TG was significantly decreased in TT genotype women and GT genotype men,and TC was significantly decreased in TT genotype men and GT genotype women.Further ANOVA analysis of multiple LSD groups showed no significant differences in the training effects of each indicator in each genotype component.Conclusions:(1)Before training,female body weight,body fat,fatless body weight,waist-hip fat ratio,BMI and male triglyceride were correlated in the three genotypes of population,but no correlation was found between other indicators before training and the polymorphism of APOE gene rs405509.(2)VO2max,VO2max/kg,VCO2,VE were significantly increased and HR was significantly decreased in T allele carrying the APOE gene rs405509 polymorphic locus.Body fat,body fat percentage,and waist-hip fat ratio were significantly decreased,and fat-free body weight was significantly increased.Tg and Tc decreased significantly.High-intensity interval training has been shown to improve aerobic performance,improve body composition,and regulate blood lipid levels.(3)No association was found between rs405509 polymorphism of APOE gene and the effect of high intensity interval training on aerobic exercise capacity,body composition and lipid metabolism.The training effect of T allele group was better than G allele group,but none of them were statistically significant.
