Since the implementation of ‘05 Program’,the reform of practical teaching of ideological and political theory course(hereinafter referred to as ‘ideological and political course’)has become a problem that all colleges and universities in China must face.Ideological and political course is the main carrier of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,which aims to help college students establish a scientific world outlook,outlook on life and values,while practice is the fundamental way to realize people’s all-round development,and practice teaching is a vivid display of Marxist philosophy.Realizing the unity of practical teaching and theoretical teaching and improving the appeal and attraction of practical teaching are important means to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political teaching.In order to improve the effect of practical teaching and strengthen the connection between theoretical research and practical exploration of ideological and political courses,colleges and universities across the country have begun to study the reform of practical teaching.Although some achievements have been made,most of them have entered a dead end of single solidified mode after long-term implementation,which cannot change the essence of the reform of practical teaching,which is still in the exploratory stage of ‘crossing the river by feeling Stone’.Therefore,it is of great benefit to deeply study the achievements of practical teaching reform in colleges and universities and actively explore new models of practical teaching,which can improve the effectiveness of ideological and political teaching and promote the smooth progress of ideological and political teaching reform.Taking Y University in Hebei Province as an example,starting with the problems existing in its practical teaching of ideological and political courses,this paper deeply studies the exploration of practical teaching mode of ideological and political courses in this university,analyzes the improvement of the overall teaching effect of the ‘Observer’project in the course Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics,and summarizes the shortcomings,and provides reform suggestions from the perspective of developing practical teaching resources on and off campus,providing ideas for exploring new modes of practical teaching of ideological and political courses,and improving practical teaching of ideological and political courses in universities.
