Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In Urban Community Residents’ Autonomy From The Perspective Of Empowerment

Under the background of the new era,community governance has become the basic unit and key link of national governance.Only by consolidating the foundation of grassroots governance can we improve the efficiency of community governance.As an important part of community governance,the autonomy of urban community residents is highly valued by all parties,especially the social work major.How to give full play to the enthusiasm and initiative of urban community residents and participate in community governance is an important issue faced by the grassroots community units.From the perspective of social work,relying on the application of empowerment theory,the author carries out professional social work services on the self-government of community residents in L community.Through collecting and understanding the development of self-government of community residents in L community,the author intervenes in the daily work and type innovation of community residents’ self-government organizations,and uses social work methods and theories to promote community residents to participate in community residents’ self-government,Mobilize the main body of autonomous participation in the community to find the correct positioning,and enhance the overall participation ability of the community.Since July 2020,as a social work intern,the author has participated in the "Red Property Management Office" project of L community for a three-month professional practice of social work.The project is led by L community and jointly set up with community owners,property enterprises in L community,party and mass representatives in L community.With the goal of quickly meeting the needs of community residents,and based on the guidance of professional social workers and the organization mode of close cooperation with community workers,the construction of community residents’ autonomous organization team in L community has been continuously developed.The practice of "Red Property Management Office" project originated in the end of 2019 and is currently in the stage of practice.Community residents are in a state of active participation in the project,which is of great positive significance to the development of community residents’ autonomy.However,as the project is an innovative community residents’ autonomy project,it has not gained long historical experience and needs further analysis and research,Around this situation,combined with field research,this paper attempts to take the "Red Property Management Office" project operation of L community as an example to explore the practice of social work intervention in urban community residents’ autonomy from the perspective of empowerment.Based on the field investigation of L community in H City,the author first grasps the basic situation of L community and community residents’ autonomous organizations,and then conducts face-to-face interviews and questionnaire surveys on the subjects participating in community residents’ autonomy,so as to comprehensively analyze the effectiveness of L community residents’ autonomy,and understand the awareness and ability of community residents’ participation,This paper analyzes the actual effect of social work empowerment function on community residents’ autonomy.Then,according to the basic information,the author intervened in the innovation project of "Red Property Management Office" in L community.Based on the social work methods and theories,starting from the whole process of project practice,the author explored the dilemma of the development of community residents’ autonomy,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.The purpose is to enhance the ability and consciousness of community residents’ autonomy and promote further innovation of community residents’ autonomy.This study takes social work intervention in community residents’ autonomous organizations as the incision,grasps the current situation of the development of community residents’ autonomy,thinks about the development prospect of community residents’ autonomy,and provides new thinking for the rapid development of community governance driven by the progress of grassroots community autonomy.In the face of the difficulties of social workers’ participation,we should actively explore a new way to promote the development of residents’ autonomy,explore new methods to enhance the awareness and ability of community residents’ autonomy from the perspective of social work empowerment,and create a new path of community autonomy environment that attaches importance to community affairs.
