Abstract/Summary:
Moral injury refers to the long-lasting psychological,biological,spiritual,behavioral and social impact on an individual after the exposure to morally injurious events,which entail “perpetrating,failing to prevent,bearing witness to,or learning about acts that transgress deeply held moral beliefs and expectations”.Since Litz et al.(2009)redefined this concept from the perspective of psychology,moral injury has attracted extensive attention in the fields of psychology,ethics,psychiatry,and sociology.Based on the research status of moral injury at home and abroad,this study decided to take primary and secondary school psychological teachers as the research object,carry out the localization research of moral injury,and promote the development of theoretical and empirical research of moral injury.This study mainly includes three contents: qualitative interview and coding analysis of moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers,the development of moral injury scale for primary and secondary school psychological teachers,and the preliminary application of the scale.Firstly,on the basis of literature review and qualitative interview,the interview data are coded and analyzed based on grounded theory,the moral injury model of primary and secondary school psychological teachers is proposed,and the dimension of the scale is constructed.Then draw up the title of the scale and invite professionals to revise the scale to form a preliminary measurement table.After the initial test,item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were carried out to form a formal scale.Finally,the formal scale was used to investigate the moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers in Sichuan Province.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The new concept of moral injury is also applicable to the group of primary and secondary school psychological teachers in China.Moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers refers that primary and secondary school psychological teachers are exposed to potential moral injury events(these events mainly come from the attitudes and behaviors of school leaders and colleagues,parents’ attitudes and behaviors,students’ situation and experience,their moral dilemma and work status)in their work,and feel the lasting impact on physiology,psychology,spirit,behavior and society caused by the violation of their moral beliefs.(2)The moral injury scale for primary and secondary school psychological teachers includes 5 dimensions and 25 questions.It adopts Likert five point scoring.The higher the score,the more serious the moral injury suffered by the individual.The scale has clear structure,good reliability and validity,meets the psychometric standards,and can be used to measure the moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers.(3)The moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers in Sichuan Province is at a medium level.(4)The moral injury of primary and secondary school psychological teachers in Sichuan Province is significantly different in demographic variables.The degree of moral injury of psychological teachers with low age,low teaching age and low professional title is significantly higher than that of psychological teachers with high age,high teaching age and high professional title;the degree of moral injury of psychological teachers who are head teachers is significantly higher than that of psychological teachers who are not head teachers;The degree of moral injury of psychological teachers who do not accept psychological supervision is significantly higher than that of psychological teachers who accept psychological supervision;The degree of moral injury of psychological teachers in other cities of Sichuan Province is significantly higher than that in Chengdu.
