As the main part of continuing education,adult education plays an important role in promoting social progress and human social development.Adult education in universities bears an important social function.Whether it can play this role depends on the quality of education.Whether from the social functions of adult education in universities,or from the sustainable development of the whole higher education and adult higher education itself,ensuring and improving the quality of higher education is the basis for the survival and development of adult education itself.The quality monitoring of adult education in universities is the key to improve the quality of education.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the quality monitoring of adult education in universities.In this study,we mainly use the literature method,social survey method,case analysis method and other research methods,combined with the new public management theory,system science theory,total quality management theory,to conduct an empirical study on the quality monitoring of adult education in ordinary universities.The study is divided into the following five parts,the first part is the introduction,mainly including the background and significance of the topic,literature review,research ideas and methods,research content and innovation;the second part is the concept definition and theoretical basis,which defines the three concepts of ordinary universities,adult education and the quality monitoring,including new public management theory,system science theory and total quality management The third part describes the general situation of adult education,school running system and management mechanism,talent training mode and basic situation of education quality management.To formulate the questionnaire of adult education quality monitoring in universities,and analyze the survey results.On the basis of the analysis of the current situation,this paper finds out the problems in the quality monitoring of adult education in universities,which mainly includes four aspects: the standard of quality monitoring is not perfect,the content of quality monitoring is not comprehensive,the evaluation and feedback is not in place,and the quality monitoring process is not in-depth;the fourth part is to explore how to strengthen the quality monitoring of adult education in universities,and put forward relevant countermeasures.In this part,it mainly puts forward the improvement suggestions combining with the quality monitoring problems of adult education in universities,mainly including five aspects: the diversification of quality monitoring subject,the extension of educational quality monitoring object,the improvement of the process of quality monitoring of adult education in universities,the application of modern teaching quality monitoring technology and methods,and the improvement of education quality monitoring system;the fifth part is the research conclusion and prospect The development of adult education in universities needs the support of quality monitoring,which plays an important role in the development of adult education in universities in China.
