The scale of secondary vocational education in China has been expanding continuously,and it has entered a new era of development.The vocational skills competition is one of the important contents in the construction of vocational education system,and plays an extremely important role in promoting the reform and development of vocational education.The result of vocational skills competition is one of the comprehensive evaluation criteria of students’ comprehensive professional quality and teaching quality in vocational colleges,while the psychological quality is an important factor affecting the result of technical skills competition.Based on literature retrieval,and it is not difficult to find that the domestic and foreign scholars agree that the general self-efficacy and positive psychological capital is often on a student’s academic performance and has positive influence on athletes’ performance,based on vocational skills competition and other activities in the athletes’ athletic contest,students’ exam has the similarity,theoretically the two factors may also affect competition performance,skills at the same time.Therefore,this paper studies the relationship between the vocational skills competition performance of secondary vocational students and general self-efficacy,positive psychological capital,trying to reveal the ways and methods to improve the vocational skills competition performance of secondary vocational students from the perspective of psychological quality,therefore,this research has certain theoretical and practical significance.This study uses mature and reliable general self-efficacy scale and positive psychological capital scale,combined with the basic information of self-compiled students to make a questionnaire.Taking D College of Jiangxi Province as a case,a sample survey was conducted among the students(N=246)who participated in the "skills festival" skills competition of D College,and the results of the competition were statistically analyzed.SPSS Stastics22.0 software was used to input and calculate the recovered questionnaire data,and then descriptive statistical analysis,difference analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis and mediating effect analysis were conducted.The analysis results showed that:1.The results of general self-efficacy and skill competition of students in D College have passed the significance test in terms of gender characteristics(P < 0.05).The results of general self-efficacy and skill competition of boys are significantly higher than those of girls.2.The total score of positive psychological capital of students in D College passed the significance test on gender characteristics and class leader status(P < 0.05),and the level of positive psychological capital of male students was significantly higher than that of female students;The level of positive psychological capital of class leaders is significantly higher than that of non-class leaders.3.The general self-efficacy and positive psychological capital of students in D College can significantly positively predict the results of skills competition(P < 0.05),indicating that the higher the general self-efficacy and positive psychological capital,the better the results of skills competition the students will get.4.The positive psychological capital of D College students plays a partial mediating role in general self-efficacy and skill competition results,with the mediating effect reaching 66.7%,indicating that the higher the level of general self-efficacy,the higher the level of positive psychological capital and the better the results of skill competition.Through the study on the relationship among general self-efficacy,positive psychological capital and results in skill competition of D college students in Jiangxi province,it is found that improving general self-efficacy and positive psychological capital can effectively improve students’ results in skill competition.Therefore,this paper proposes the following countermeasures and suggestions: Pay attention to the implementation of career planning courses,enhance students’ professional interest and positive emotion of competition,establish professional confidence,and improve their hope;Organize a team of psychological experts to give professional psychological counseling and training to the participating students to cultivate their resilience;To guide students to make positive attribution and improve their optimism,so as to improve students’ results in skill competition.
