In recent years,tourism has become an important part of modern people’s lives,and the development of China’s tourism industry has now moved from the pursuit of "quantitative" breakthroughs to the importance of "qualitative" development.People are the most crucial factor in solving the "quality" problem of tourism.The development of the tourism industry has further promoted the flourishing of tourism education in China,and the development of a skilled tourism workforce is of paramount importance for any development plan to improve the quality of tourism services.China’s tourism education at all levels,senior education is a very important level,for tourism professional senior students,the university stage for the learning growth process is one of the most important stages,is the most professional learning stage it has experienced,for its future development to play a key role.In this context,this study is conducted on tourism students in higher education institutions.The study will help to identify the current situation of the professional identity of high school tourism students,examine the factors affecting it and make concrete suggestions for improving the identity of high school tourism students.In this study,students from freshmen to seniors in five higher education institutions in Hohhot were used as the research subjects,and the Questionnaire on Professional Identity of Higher Education Students in Tourism was used as the main survey tool.Through the analysis of the research data,the main conclusions are as follows.Firstly,the survey results show that the professional identity index is slightly above the medium critical value of 3,which indicates that the professional identity of tourism senior vocational students in school is at a medium slightly higher level.Secondly,by comparing the differences characteristics it was found that there was no significant difference in professional identity between students with different gender and household registration;there were significant differences in professional emotion,professional behavior,and professional identity between students with different sources of further education.and the identity of students from the single entrance examination is slightly higher than that of students from the general college entrance exams;there is considerable variation There is considerable variation in the vocational emotions and behaviors of students in different grades,First-year students are higher than sophomores and juniors in the three dimensions of professional identity and professional recognition;the mean values of the scores of professional identification,professional emotion and professional behavior of different professional directions are,in descending order,tourism management > exhibition management and others > hotel management.Thirdly,the multiple linear regression analysis showed that among the four factors affecting professional identity,personal factors,school factors and industry and social factors significantly and positively influenced professional identity.The significant others factor did not positively influence professional identity.The innovation of this study lies in the content and measurement tools.It also enriches the measurement index and revises the professional identity scale which is suitable for higher vocational students of Tourism Specialty.
