Talent cultivation,scientific research,serving for economic and social development,cultural heritage are the mean functions of colleges and universities.The young cadres in colleges and universities are the hope and reserve force for the future development of colleges and universities.Colleges and universities’ development depends on young cadres.But some universities can’t meet the needs of young cadres and young cadres don’t have the clear personal growth path so that the growth of young cadres has been hindered.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the growth of young cadres in colleges and universities to find out the affecting factors in the growth of young cadres.Then we provides practical suggestions for the individual and organizational departments of young cadres in colleges and universities to promote the high quality development of higher education.Career development theory,social ecosystem theory,social exchange theory are the theoretical basis of this dissertation.In-depth interviews,grounded theory,statistical analysis are used in the dissertation to find out what factors influencing the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities.This dissertation construct the influencing factors model of the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities.Then we enriches the research methods of young cadres in colleges and universities as well as expands the research field of career growth.Firstly,the factors influencing the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities are gradually summarized with the data mining strategy in grounded theory and there are 79 initial concepts,45 concepts,14 sub-categories and 4 main categories are summarized.Then the core category is determined as the influencing factors of the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities.Secondly,we construct the influencing factors model to explore the relationship between influencing factors and career growth.Then research hypotheses are proposed based on the model.Exploratory factor analysis,reliability analysis,variance analysis,regression analysis are used in this dissertation to find the the relationship between the influencing factors and the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities.Finally,according to the research conclusions,the advice of work ability,family construction,personal characteristic construction and the organization environment construction of the organization department are suggested to young cadres in colleges and universities.Through the above studies,the conclusions are drawn as follows:the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities is influenced by working ability,organizational environment,family factors and personal characteristics.Among them,work ability includes four dimensions:accurate decision-making ability,organization and coordination ability,communication ability and personnel management ability;organizational environment includes organizational structure,organizational constraint,organizational incentive and organizational support;family factors include family support and family-work balance;personal characteristics include the ability to withstand pressure,responsibility,self-confidence,optimistic attitude.Accurate decision-making ability under the dimension of work ability,organizational support under the dimension of organizational environment,family support under the dimension of family factors,and responsibility under the dimension of personal characteristics have the most significant positive impact on the career growth of young cadres in colleges and universities.
