Rumination mainly refers to the continuous and repeated reflection on the causes,final results and emotions of negative events experienced by individuals in study and work.Negative life events refer to the occurrence of certain events,is oneself produced unpleasant emotions.College life is experiencing a critical period of development,although they have rich after school life,but more often they are faced with from schools,families,and the test of various life events on their own,such as interpersonal issues,health and adaptation,entrance pressure,etc.,some people to meet this kind of situation will soon adjust itself from this negative experience,But the vast majority of college students will ruminate,and once they adopt a negative coping style,this life event will be regarded as a negative life event.The purpose of this study was to explore the intervention effect of group counseling on rumination after negative events in college students,and to provide targeted and effective group-assisted programs for improving negative rumination after negative events in college students.This study adopts the method of questionnaire survey,the use of the adolescent life events scale and the cud thinking scale,scale,for 406 H university freshman to senior college in qinghai province under the influence of negative life events and to study the influence of the thinking of ruminants,results show that the college students’ negative life events and ruminant level overall thinking of medium on the high side,There are significant differences in various demographic variables.In the intervention stage of this study,the group assistance program was designed according to the theoretical basis of group psychological counseling,and then through data analysis,students with scores in the top 27% of the two scales were selected.Under the premise of ensuring homogeneity,18 students were selected from the experimental group and 18 from the control group according to the principle of statistics and voluntary.The experimental group received group psychological counseling intervention,while the control group understood the group psychological counseling course but did not participate in the intervention.After intervention,the post-test data of the experimental group and the control group were analyzed.The results showed that the pre-test and post-test in the experimental group had significant differences in negative life events(p<0.001),and the pre-test and post-test in the experimental group had significant differences in rumination(p<0.001).Through group psychological counseling,the post-test scores of the experimental group members were significantly lower than before intervention.There was no significant difference in negative life events(p= 0.14)and rumination in the control group(p=0.78).There were significant differences in negative life events and rumination between the experimental group and the control group.It also indicates that rumination group counseling intervention is effective in reducing rumination after negative events.After the intervention,members were interviewed during the intervention process.The results showed that group members acquired skills to improve interpersonal relationship,relieve academic pressure and reduce obsessive thinking through group counseling,and could actively cope with it,which also indicated that group counseling intervention could reduce rumination of college students.
