The report of the 18th CPC National Congress pointed out that "Building Morality and cultivating people is the fundamental task of education".As the fundamental way to implement the moral education task of primary school students,moral education can play an important role in improving the moral quality.Therefore,this study discusses the current situation of primary school moral education theme activities in Saihan District,Hohhot,and tries to provide suggestions for schools and teachers to design and carry out moral education theme activities,which has positive practical significance.On the basis of combing the concepts of moral education and theme activities,this study believes that the theme activities of moral education are moral education activities inside and outside the school based on the needs of school moral education,combined with the internal law of students’ physical and moral development,aiming at solving the moral problems in real life such as society,school and family.In order to deeply understand the current situation of moral education theme activities in primary schools,302 students and 23 teachers from grade 3 to grade 6 of four primary schools in Saihan District of Hohhot were selected as the objects of questionnaire and interview.The survey shows that primary school moral education theme activities in Saihan District of Hohhot have made some achievements in practice path,activity community and development area,but there are also some problems such as low attention to moral education theme activities,formalization tendency and weak continuity of effect.This study believes that the reasons for these problems are: first,the awareness of moral education theme activities is relatively lack,which is reflected in the relative lag of the concept of moral education theme activities in schools,the low attention of parents to moral education theme activities,and the insufficient understanding of students to moral education theme activities;Second,the goal of moral education theme activities is unreasonable,which is reflected in the low,medium and high gradient of the goal is not obvious,the goal exceeds the cognitive level of students,and ignores the harmonious unity of three-dimensional goals;Third,the design of moral education theme activities is poor,which is reflected in the lack of collaborative influence of knowledge,emotion,meaning and behavior,deviation from the reality of students’ life and lack of diversity of forms;Fourth,the professionalism of teachers in moral education theme activities is not strong,which is reflected in the unclear role orientation of teachers,the improvement of teachers’ moral education ability and the insufficient number of full-time teachers;Fifth,the evaluation of moral education theme activities is not perfect,which is reflected in the relatively simple evaluation method,the relatively single evaluation subject,and the development function of evaluation is not obvious.Based on the analysis of the reasons,this study puts forward the countermeasures to solve the problems of moral education theme activities in primary schools from five aspects: first,improve the awareness of moral education theme activities,specifically to enhance the concept of moral education theme activities of all school members,strengthen the communication between family and school moral education theme activities,and enhance students’ understanding of moral education theme activities;The second is to scientifically formulate the objectives of moral education theme activities,specifically to formulate the objectives of theme activities in layers,formulate the objectives based on students’ cognitive level,and pay attention to the harmonious unity of three-dimensional objectives;The third is to carefully design the theme activities of moral education,specifically to integrate "knowing,doing and students’ actual life into the design and develop various forms of activity design;Fourth,strengthen the construction of teachers in moral education theme activities,specifically to clarify the role of teachers in theme activities,improve teachers’ moral education ability and supplement full-time teachers;Fifth,improve the evaluation of moral education theme activities,specifically enrich the evaluation methods,build a diversified evaluation subject and give full play to the developmental function of evaluation.
