| In the junior middle school,the morality of students develops rapidly,from heteronomy to self-discipline.Moral concepts of students begin to form gradually,but they are in a turbulent period of psychological development and moral development.Therefore,moral education in the junior middle school is very important.At the same time,in response to the country’s call for "cultivating people with morality",educational administrative departments at all levels and various schools have done a lot of work on moral education.Among them,the theme activities of moral education are the main way for schools to carry out moral education.Therefore,it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of the current situationoftheme activities of moral education in junior middle schools,so as to find problems,analyze the causes,and put forward countermeasures.This research conducted a survey on teachers,students and parents of four middle schools in S city through the research method of literature,questionnaire survey and interview.Finally,275 valid questionnaires for teachers and 571 valid questionnaires for students were collected,and the results of the questionnaires were statistically analyzed.Combined with the results of the interviews,the following research conclusions are drawn:At present,the theme activities of moral education in junior middle schools in S City are rich in content.Among them,patriotism and national spirit education,safety education and education of the rule of law are the key contents of the activities carried out by each school.Themed class meetings and school meetings are the main forms of activities.The theme activities of moral education are held frequently in schools,with an average of no less than 9 times per semester.In terms of activity evaluation,most school leaders,teachers,students and parents have a positive attitude towards the activities.Concerns about safety,lack of funds and time are the main factor hindering the development of activities.The main problems existing in the theme activities of moral education in the junior middle school are: The subjectivity of teachers and students in activities is weak.The activities are carried out of the actual situation of the students.The design of the activities is not reasonable.The forms of activities are not diverse enough.Students’ moral evaluation system needs to be improved.The enthusiasm of the teachers’ activities has not been fully mobilized.Amongthe problems mentioned above,the separation of activities from students’ reality is the most prominent problem in the implementation of activities currently.In response to the main problems existing in the theme activities of moral education,the researchers put forward the following suggestions: First,put the concept of "people-oriented" into practice,and open up channels to adopt the opinions of teachers and students.Second,when formulating activity plans,the school should proceed from the actual situation of students,and organically combine "thetasks assigned by the superior department" and "actual needs of the students".Third,teachers should improve their moral literacy and scientifically design the content of activities.Fourth,teachers should teach students according to their aptitude,and flexibly adopt moral education methods such as "discussion method","teaching method" and "moral practice method".Fifth,the school should optimize the moral evaluation system of students.Last but not the least,the school should innovate the incentive mechanism from the material and spiritual levels to achieve the purpose of revitalizing human resources.Although there are still some shortcomings in this research,its conclusions have certain reference value and practical significance for the effective development of theme activities of moral education in the junior middle school. |
