Silos And Connectivity:A Study Of The Impact Of Smartphones On Interpersonal Communication In Hearing Impaired People

As a special part of the social group,the defects of language expression and understanding ability of the hearing impaired people undoubtedly have a great impact on the interpersonal communication of the hearing impaired people,and even make them face a closed communication dilemma.Breaking through the language barrier is an important issue related to the interpersonal communication between the hearing impaired people and the hearing impaired people.The emergence of smart phone media has created a new environment for hearing impaired people to participate in social interaction.Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews,this paper analyzes the interpersonal relationship of hearing impaired people under the influence of smart phone media.The study found that the main causes of interpersonal communication disorders of people with hearing impairment come from closed family education,restricted external social environment and self-closed inner world.In the multiple closed environment,the object and scope of communication of the hearing impaired are limited,and the hearing impaired walk on the edge of the society and gradually form their own "isolated island".Before using smartphones,hearing-impaired people are more willing to communicate with hearing-impaired people than with healthy ones.Under the influence of smart phones,the interpersonal communication of hearing impaired people has appeared a new form of "open",which is mainly manifested as diversified interpersonal communication methods,interpersonal communication scope across time and space,and gradually modified and improved interpersonal communication ability.emotion heats up day by day in the interpersonal communication with the hearing-impaired person.Smart phones connect the hearing impaired people in the marginal areas of society from the self-closed silent "isolated island" to the rich and colorful mainstream society with sound.It brings vitality and hope for this special group of hearing impaired people from powerlessness to power,passivity to initiative in social communication.In the media environment built by smart phone media,people with hearing impairment can better overcome the language and understanding barriers caused by hearing loss,and have more smooth access to interpersonal information.However,the process of breaking the "isolated island" is not a smooth road,affected by identity,the communication object of the hearing impaired person will still be limited to the range of the hearing impaired person.At the same time,the virtual environment created by smart phones makes hearing-impaired people face the challenge of being closed again,and the problem of interpersonal communication alienation of hearing-impaired people can not be ignored.the process of hearingimpaired people using smartphones and trying interpersonal communication is a dynamic game process.In order to effectively avoid the possibility of transforming the interpersonal communication of the hearing impaired into another closed space,we also need the joint efforts of the hearing impaired themselves,society,family,school and so on.To sum up,smart phone is not only a technological development,it provides a new path for people with hearing impairment to better break through their own language barriers,get more opportunities to participate in social interaction,and improve the degree of freedom of interpersonal communication.
