| The transformation of some colleges and universities to application-oriented colleges and universities is a hot topic in China’s current higher education reform,and the key to the transformation and development of colleges and universities lies in the construction of teachers’ team.With the deepening of transformation development,the original faculty team can hardly meet the requirements of transformation development for cultivating application-oriented talents.How to create a team of "vocational teachers" to meet the requirements of the development of transformed universities has become an urgent problem for the pilot universities.Based on the theories of teacher professionalism,hierarchy of needs and lifelong learning,this study firstly summarises and reviews the existing research on "vocational teachers".Secondly,the study takes the teachers of three transformed universities in Yunnan Province as the research subjects,and understands the current situation of the construction of "vocational teachers" through questionnaires and interviews.Then,we analyse the difficulties in the construction of "vocational teachers" in the universities in transition and the reasons for their formation.Finally,on the basis of the analysis of the causes,strategies are proposed to optimize the construction of the "vocational teachers" team in universities in transition.The thesis is divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction,which explains the reasons for choosing the topic of this study,the current situation of research on "professional teachers" at home and abroad,the significance of the study,the research ideas,the research methods,the definition of core concepts and the theoretical foundation.On this basis,the second part of the thesis is launched.Through questionnaires and interviews,the current situation of the construction of "vocational teachers" in universities in transition can be understood in depth.However,there are obvious differences in some variables.In the third part,based on the analysis of the survey data,four kinds of problems in the construction of "vocational teachers" team are summarized: the standard of "vocational teachers" certification needs to be unified,the structure of "vocational teachers" team needs to be optimized,and the "vocational teachers" team needs to be trained.The third section,based on the survey data,identifies four types of problems in the development of the vocational teaching force: the standardisation of "vocational teachers" certification,the optimisation of the structure of the vocational teaching force,the improvement of the overall quality of the vocational teaching force and the improvement of the personnel management system of "vocational teachers".Based on the above-mentioned problems,the reasons for the problems in the construction of "vocational teachers" are explained in four aspects: the lack of government support,the imperfect institutional mechanism of "vocational teachers" in universities,the lack of subjective awareness among teachers and the loose cooperation between schools and enterprises.In the fourth part of this thesis,we propose a strategy to optimise the construction of "vocational teachers" in universities in transition,taking into account the problems and reasons found in the study.It is a systematic project that needs to be promoted step by step.Firstly,the government should unify the accreditation standards for "vocational teachers",improve the personnel management system,strengthen the cooperation between schools and enterprises and increase the financial investment;secondly,universities should play the main role,improve the training system for "vocational teachers",effectively strengthen the part-time teaching team,and formulate the construction of "vocational teachers".Secondly,universities should play a major role in improving the training system of "vocational teachers",strengthening the construction of part-time teachers,formulating the appointment criteria of "vocational teachers",reforming the assessment and evaluation system of "vocational teachers" and improving the incentive mechanism of "vocational teachers".Finally,the role of enterprises in the training of "vocational teachers" should be promoted in three ways: by assuming social responsibility,developing relevant systems and increasing investment in training. |
