The combination of verb and result complement is a characteristic structure in modern Chinese,and it is also an important language point in the area of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Mind map can help us creat vivid pictures,bulid association chains and improve the strength of memory.This study integrates both the concept of mind map and the result complement teaching,optimizes the design of result complement teaching mode,and proves that mind map is an effective auxiliary tool for result complement teaching through empirical method.We presented the concept and theoretical basis of mind map firstly,and then,analyzed the feasibility of applying the mind map to the result complement teaching.Secondly,by summarizing the results of previous studies,we analyzed the result of the pretest and main types of errors when learners acquiring the result complement.Thirdly,from the perspective of semantics and syntactic,we used mind map to optimize the traditional way of teaching result complement and to construct the corresponding teaching mode.In the end,the results of the post-test and extended test show that the qualities of result complement teaching are different with two different teaching methods.Compared with the traditional teaching method,mind map can help learners improve the level of memorization from the whole,as well as deepen the understanding.By sorting out experimental data,We also explaint the advantages and disadvantages of using mind map as a teaching tool,and finally focused on optimizing the result complement teaching and gave relevant teaching suggestions.
