As the friendship between China and Africa advances,China has set up 59 Confucius institutes and 41 Confucius classrooms in 44 African countries by June 2019.The scale of running a school is expanding day by day and the running effect is getting more and more remarkable.There are two Confucius institutes in Ethiopia,one is the Confucius institute for vocational education in Ethiopia and the other is Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University.While spreading Chinese language and promoting Chinese culture,these two Confucius institutes also undertake language and vocational skills training tasks for local employees of Chinese-funded enterprises,and play an active and important role in promoting China-Africa economic and cultural exchanges.In the work of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,classroom teaching is the core link of the entire teaching activity.Classroom teaching includes three aspects: teaching,evaluation and management.Classroom teaching management is not simply to control students' behavior,but to actively intervene in the whole process of teaching by means of teaching language,teaching instructions or teaching organization.For example,cultivate students' rigorous and pragmatic learning attitude,flexible and changeable learning methods,team spirit of cooperation and win-win,and the sense of innovation that dare to break the precedent.Manage students on the basis of respecting students' self-awareness and retaining their vitality.It is no longer just blindly pursuing classroom teaching results or test results,but paying more attention to the results while paying more attention to the learning process.Teachers can cultivate through effective teaching management.The ability of students to learn independently and cooperate in inquiry.Through the teacher's precepts and deeds,the students' learning attitude is corrected and the awareness of rules is established.This article mainly analyzes and discusses the classroom teaching management of the Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University(hereinafter referred to as "Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University")and its teaching sites.So far,although some articles have written about the Chinese language teaching in Ethiopia and the teaching research of the Confucius Institute at the University of Asia,there are few results on the classroom teaching management of the Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University The main research object of this paper is the classroom teaching management of the Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University.It is divided into four parts: first,the related concepts of classroom teaching management,and second,the teaching status of the Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University,including the school profile of the Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University,Student conditions,curriculum settings and the status quo of classroom teaching management;the third part is a real classroom case,which demonstrates the importance of classroom teaching management,analyzes the problems arising in the teaching process and proposes relevant solutions;the last part is about Confucius Institute at Addis Ababa University of Science and Technology Reflect on the management of Chinese classroom teaching in the college and put forward suggestions.
