Yan Lianke's Speech On "Literary Relations - Inner Veins In Writing" Is A Report On The Practice Of Alternate Interpretation

Global cultural exchanges exert great influence on humans.Culture nourishes and enlightens minds.Literature is the art of language and culture and it embodies the longing for enriching spiritual world.The report is a Chinese-English interpreting practice of the lecture given by a famous writer Yan Lianke.Through analysis of the recording of the interpretation practice,several problems were found and solutions were put forward.There are three main problems—redundancy,disfluency and textual coherence in target language.As of redundancy,the solution is reconstructed and combined relative information in target or source language;as of disfluency,the solutions are use of alternative words,proper omissions and proper pauses;as of textual coherence,the solutions are reference,substitution and conjuncture.The analysis on the problems and shortcomings in interpreting practice is helpful for future interpretations.
