Interpretation Practice Report For The 2020 Harbin Winter Triathlon World Cup

Sporting events are a bridge to communicate with the world and promote cultural exchanges.Ice and snow sports started late but developed rapidly.With the rapid development of related fields,the demand for translation services has increased,in which English plays an indispensable role.Therefore,how to play a good role as an interpreter in a snow related sporting event is very important.The main contents of the practice report observe the problems encountered in the first Harbin Winter Triathlon World Cup in early 2020.Focusing on these problems,the thesis analyzes them from three aspects and summarizes the corresponding interpreting strategies.The first part observes the Spanish accent of Spanish officials in the technical meeting before the game,and puts forward two solutions,which are to identify and grasp the key points according to the different pronunciation of English Spanish letters,and make positive prediction;the second part examines the long sentences in the speech of Norwegian coaches before the game,and puts forward two solutions,which are to summarize the long sentences and to split sentences and reconstruct them.The third part introduces the problem of culture loaded words in the process of accompanying Finnish sports members.The thesis puts forward two strategies for the problem of culture loaded words,namely,interpreting and transliteration plus annotation of culture loaded words.
