Research On Learning Strategies Of Outstanding Chinese Language Learners At The National University Of Laos

In recent years,with the deepening of Laos' opening to the outside world and the deepening and expansion of exchanges with China in various fields,especially after China's “One Belt,One Road” initiative,the demand for Chinese in Laos has reached an unprecedented height,which has greatly encouraged Chinese learners.There are more and more people learning Chinese in Laos,but the overall level of education in Laos is relatively low.In particular,the quality,level and quantity of Chinese education need to be improved as soon as possible to meet the needs of China-Laos cooperation and the “Belt and Road” construction for Chinese talents.National University of Laos is the most famous institution of higher learning in Laos.Chinese language education is not only in the forefront of the country,but also the highest level of Chinese language education in Laos.The Chinese Department of National University of Laos has always been an indispensable part of Chinese language teaching in Laos,although it trains a group of outstanding Chinese talents every year,but the number is far from enough.With the development of the second foreign language,people are more and more aware of the importance of second foreign language learning.Appropriate learning strategies are the magic weapon to ensure the success of students in language learning.This article selects 30 outstanding Chinese learners from the Chinese Department of National University of Laos.The researcher conducted a questionnaire survey on their learning strategies and selected 6 Chinese learners for interviews.Finally,combine the questionnaire survey and interview records to analyze their commonalities and learning characteristics in Chinese learning.The study found that outstanding Chinese learners in Laos have many common features.For example,they are good at using learning strategies and can adjust their learning strategies according to actual conditions;every outstanding Chinese learner has a relatively strong motivation for learning;The learning strategy is a metacognitive strategy,which shows that their goal of learning Chinese is very clear.They have a strong sense of consciously learning and can perform self-management well.In the process of Chinese learning,they have always maintained a positive attitude and adjusted quickly.In short,excellent Chinese learners can use various learning strategies reasonably,and have a strong learning demand for Chinese learning,and they are able to learn independently.These are the keys to their success in learning,in the hope of becoming models for other Chinese learners.
