The War of Resistance Against Japan is the most painful national memory in China’s modern history. The people were displaced and countless patriotic soldiers marched to the battlefield. It is precisely because of their sacrifice that the Chinese nation can win the final great victory. While praising the victory,we need to understand and study the true emotional state of these soldiers on the battlefield.Among them, the middle and lower-level officers of the Kuomintang are represented. From the changes in their emotions during the War of Resistance Against Japan,we can understand their lives on the battlefield. There is a more intuitive feeling. The research on the battlefield emotions of middle-and lower-level officers is mainly divided into the generation of their own emotions and the analysis of emotional interactions. This article discusses the emotions of officers on the frontal battlefield in each period in chronological order. It mainly selects representative battles in the strategic defense phase, strategic stalemate phase, and strategic counter-offensive phase, and analyzes the causes and results of emotions in different periods, and reveals the battlefield. The process of emotional flow.In the battle of the strategic defense stage, the emotions of the middle and lower-level officers on the battlefield were positive and high-spirited patriotism. The emotional interactions with the people in the rear and friendly forces were very frequent.Although the casualties were heavy and the battle was invincible, they were still on the battlefield.example.In the process of transitioning to the strategic stalemate stage, the Nationalist government, after experiencing the initial hasty challenge, began to prepare for combat with all its strength and mobilize the nation’s forces in all aspects, but the officers did not obtain more actual material and Emotional support,on the contrary, began to breed dissatisfaction with high-levels from the chaotic order in the rear.At this time, the military-civilian relationship also passed the honeymoon period and began to gradually become flat, especially when the Japanese offensive pressure plummeted, the officers found it increasingly difficult to restrain the bad behavior of the troops, thereby maintaining the emotional bond between the military and the civilian.Under these circumstances, they found that the skills they learned from the CCP troops to get along with the people were very effective,so they obviously had a good impression of the CCP in their hearts. After a long-term confrontation, the Chinese army finally ushered in a period of strategic counter-offensive.However,the Kuomintang army has fallen into a huge dilemma.High-level factions are fighting endlessly, officials are defending each other, and the military discipline of the grassroots troops is deteriorating. The middle and lower-level officers are in between. Some of them simply follow the trend, while others are still fighting bravely despite disappointment.
