A Preliminary Study Of Karasuk Culture

The Karasuk culture is the remains of the late Bronze Age in the north of Minusinsk basin.This thesis takes the burials of the Karasuk culture as the research object,comprehensively discusses the definition,staging and chronology of the culture on the basis of previous studies.At the same time,it also analyzes the Subsistence Strategy of Karasuk culture and make a reflection on Karasuk Bronzes.The first chapter is the introduction.The history of the discovery and research of Karasuk culture is combed in detail and divided into four stages.Summarized the previous research achievements and shortcomings,and explained the research purpose and ideas of this paper.The second chapter is the definition of Karasuk culture.By comparing the remains of the Karasuk period with the remains of the Shixia period(Kamen period),it is concluded that the remains of the Shixia period should no longer be included in the category of the Karasuk culture.The third chapter is the stage and chronology of Karasuk culture.The typical cemetery of Karasuk culture,Churgenier cemetery,is analyzed.On the basis of the typology of the unearthed pottery,the tombs are divided into six groups according to the coexistence relationship,and then the tombs are divided into three periods with four stages.Then a comparative analysis of the other 6 cemeteries was carried out,and on this basis,the entire Karasuk culture was divided into three periods with four sections.According to the 14 C data,this paper agrees with the chronological viewpoints of Russian scholars that the overall age of the Karasuk culture is from the 14 th to the 11 th century BC.The fourth chapter discusses related issues.the Subsistence Strategy of Karasuk crowd is discussed,and it is believed that there are various economic forms in Karasuk culture,that is,mainly animal husbandry,and planting and fishing and hunting are also taken into consideration.At the same time,reflection on the Karasuk Bronzes are carried out: It's not appropriate to use this concept when studying the connection between the Bronze Age culture in northern China and foreign cultures.
