Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Public Participation In TV Politics

As a representative of traditional news media,television media has always been an important platform for spreading the idea of government governance.The TV political program is a government-led political program with a platform built by the TV media to provide a platform for dialogue and negotiation between the government,the public,and social groups.Through television inquiries about politics,all parties engage in dialogue and consultation on public affairs under the mode of public participation,realize public supervision,and ultimately achieve the goal of good governance.Compared with other rational governance models,the most significant feature of public participation is the addition of elements of modern participation in democracy,highlighting the importance of "participation" in the process.The TV political inquiries put the government,the media,and public representatives on an intuitive stage.The representatives of the political units in question directly face the public,communicate with them,and help solve problems.Public participation in TV political inquiry is mainly reflected in the bottom-up supervision function of public opinion.In TV political programs,the media and the public expose loopholes in the work of the government,relying on the power of public opinion supervision to urge the government to implement rectification measures and realize social affairs.The thesis defines the concept of public participation and discusses the four types of public participation,namely decision-making participation,hearing participation,consulting participation,and coordinated participation,which builds the foundation of participatory democracy theory and deliberative democracy theory.Taking City R's political affairs as an example,the current situation of public participation in City R's political affairs is summarized,and the problems of public participation in the program are weak: public participation is weak,the participants are not comprehensive enough,and the degree of information disclosure is insufficient.It also analyzes the causes of the problems from three aspects: too much emphasis on live broadcast effects,inability to trace the results of political inquiries,and inability to dig into the root causes of the problems.At the same time,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to deepen public participation in television inquiries: To promote the development of public participation and play a role in promoting,the second is that the television media must continue to deepen the degree of public participation.
