| At the beginning of the 21 st century,Eurasian countries began transformation.However,in the process of transformation in some countries,the level of economic development was low,the society was even stagnant,and the people went to the streets to express their dissatisfaction,which led to social unrest.The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,Ukraine,Georgia and other countries even had abnormal regime changes in their countries.Behind the so-called "Color Revolution" is the struggle between Russia,the United States and Europe in Eurasia.EU and NATO intend to continue to push the eastward integration of European Economic Security,however,Russia hopes to establish a post Soviet economic security space led by Russia.Belarus is located in Eastern Europe,bordering Poland,the Baltic Sea and other NATO member states in the west,and Russia is in the East.After the Ukraine crisis in 2014,Belarus has become the focus for Russia and Europe.During fifth term,Lukashenko was under diplomatic pressure from Russia and Europe.Affected by the Ukraine crisis,the domestic development of Belarus from 2015 to 2019 was not optimistic,and there was a big gap between the development reality and the goal.In 2020,influenced by COVID-19,the unemployment rate in Belarus increased further.The Lukashenko administration could not give effective response to epidemic,which made people dissatisfied.On August 9,2020,Belarus held the presidential election and Lukashenko won.People questioned the results of the election and took to the streets to protest,and then followed by unrest.This paper analyzes the diplomatic and internal affairs of Belarus during Lukashenko's fifth term of office,analyzes the reasons of the outbreak of unrest in 2020,the different opinions of Belarus turmoil in Russia and the Europe,and also the future development of Belarus.The struggle between Russia and Europe in Eastern Europe will continue,and Belarus will face many difficulties in its future development. |
