Large scale activities are the "booster" to ignite the city's passion and help the city's development. In particular, the large-scale activities led by the new sports economy have gradually become the new driving force for the regional economic development of major cities, opening up a new direction to promote the development of new regional formats.However,large-scale activities are easy to lead to rapid growth of traffic demand at the beginning and end, resulting in relatively insufficient traffic supply and frequent regional long-distance and large-scale traffic congestion. In view of the imbalance between regional traffic supply and demand caused by such large-scale activities,it is a problem and challenge for current traffic managers to formulate reasonable traffic management scheme, scientifically allocate and dynamically balance the limited traffic resources, ensure smooth traffic during the holding of large-scale sports events, and reduce the impact on urban background traffic. In this paper, combined with the actual road traffic management in T City, the traffic management strategy of large-scale sports events in T city is formulated, the evaluation index system of traffic management scheme is established, the traffic management scheme optimization method based on TOPSIS method is designed, and the "Youth Games" project in T city is taken as the carrier for example verification.Based on the benchmarking analysis of the "optimal scheme" and the ideal scheme, the paper puts forward the universal safeguard measures and suggestions at the organizational level, the technical level and the emergency level, which can provide reference for improving the scientificity of the traffic management decision-making of large-scale activities and assisting the decision-making of traffic management measures in the future.
