Marx’s criticism of the "illusory community" is an important part of Marx’s thought on community, and it is the start of the formation of this thought. When Marx first entered the social arena in his early years,he looked critically at the society he lived in and gradually realized the hidden connection between the state and the interests of a particular group, unconsciously touching on some elements of the "illusory community".This constituted Marx’s initial perception of the illusory nature of community. At the same time,Marx was vaguely aware of a certain dissonance between Hegel’s rationalistic view of the state and social realities, which led him to question this view and to rethink the nature of state, further touching on some elements of the "illusory community".This constituted Marx’s initial reflection on the illusory nature of community.Next,Marx found the most important realistic basis of the "illusory community" :the division of labor and the private ownership. And the state,as a form of community,is the main concrete form of the "illusory community" in reality, and the capitalist state is the most typical one.The division of labor was the main clue throughout Marx’s deep criticism of the "illusory community".His criticism presented multiple perspectives while centering on the criticism of man’s unfreedom in it.Marx criticized the deceitfulness of the common interests in the "illusory community" due to the constraints of the level of productivity and the division of labor. He criticized the hypocrisy of the ideology of the ruling class because it was an expression of the deceitfulness of the common interests in ideas, and it also resulted in individual disorientation and collective disorientation of the ruled class. The separation and antagonism between urban and rural areas was linked to the "illusory community" through the analysis of urban-rural relations under different forms of ownership and the mediation of the division of labor.Marx criticized the subservient nature of human beings caused by this separation and antagonism. He criticized the shackles imposed on individuals by the "illusory community" resulting from involuntary division of labor and forced association, especially by the capitalist community characterized by modern industry.Based on the study of political economy,Marx criticized the illusory nature and abstraction of capital community and monetary community, and the domination of things over people.Marx’s criticism of the "illusory community" has both its theoretical value and practical significance, and it has realistic inspiration for the development of contemporary China. His analysis and criticism of the "illusory community" was always based on the historical materialism, which is a unique approach to grasp the laws of human society, and he advocated transcending the "illusory community" in a gradual and progressive manner. His criticism was conditional on the elimination of the division of labor and private ownership, and it aimed for the establishment of a "real community" as well as the free and comprehensive development of human. The dictatorship of the proletariat is a transitional period in which the state still exists, and in which the illusory nature of the community remains. Therefore contemporary China must deal with this potential illusory nature in the process of deepening the reforms in an all-round way in order to promote the productivity sustainably,to break through the barriers of solidified interests,to realize the shared development and common wealth, and to achieve people’s pursuit of a better life.
