| Under the background of national fitness strategy,President Xi proposed a Four-in-One strategy,including ‘Helping students enjoy sports,improving their physique,completing their personality,and ironing their will’.According to this goal,PE lessons are not supposed to direct students to do primitive activities,but let them master sports skills and perform specialized teaching.Specialized Teaching of Physical Education(STPE)aims to break the boundary of classes and carry out optional teaching which is based on the interest of students and ability of teachers,so that students may master one or two sports skills during their three-year junior high school study.In order to propel high schools in Liaoning province to better implement President Xi’s Four-in-One strategy and let students gradually develop sports skills to proficiency level,this paper is based on the current situation of junior high school physical education in Liaoning Province,investigates the current situation of PE classes in some junior high schools in Liaoning Province,discovers potential problems,analyzes the necessity of implementing STPE in junior high schools in Liaoning Province,discusses the feasibility of STPE implementation,and provides references for relevant researches on the Specialized Teaching of Physical Education in Liaoning Province.This paper studies the feasibility of the implementation of sports specific teaching in junior high schools in Liaoning Province mainly through literature analysis,interviewing,questionnaire,field observation,and mathematical statistics.We conducted a questionnaire survey of junior high school teachers and students in12 schools in some parts of Liaoning Province,consulted a large number of documents and materials to understand the current situation and teaching mode of PE lessons at home and abroad,referred the previous discussion on the STPE in junior high schools,and demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of the implementation of STPE in junior high schools in Liaoning Province.This passage reached conclusions that,firstly,the workload of junior high school PE teachers in Liaoning Province is somehow heavy,leading to reduced teaching enthusiasm,resulting in the teaching content of physical education course serving for the high school entrance examination,which mainly focuses on running and physical fitness exercises that student may not be interested in.And the plain organization of PE courses lacks teaching sports skills and teaching achievement,so students fail to really master sports skills.Secondly,the necessity of implementing STPE in junior high schools in Liaoning Province is mainly to fulfil the urgent demand of students to learn their preferred sports,to make them master one or two sports skills,and to guide students to compete their personality,temper their will so as to become reserved talents for competitive sports for Liaoning Province.Besides,the introduction of sports policies and regulations,and the importance attached by government in Liaoning Province are prerequisite for implementing STPE,and the deep cognition and positive attitude of PE teachers,strong faculty,and satisfying on-site equipment provision become objective conditions for implementing STPE.Moreover,the curriculum design for STPE is investigated and designed in terms of the determination of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching materials,teaching contents,class organization and assessment methods.Together with the successful case of STPE implementation and other factors,it had proven the practicability of STPE implementation in Liaoning Province. |
