In the 21 st century,with the rapid development of science and technology,the national competitiveness depends on whether education has trained comprehensive talents with high quality and innovation.Whether it is for the future development strategy of the country or the individual development needs,it will give priority to the cultivation of students' creativity,cooperation and communication ability,the ability to analyze and solve problems.Based on this environment,steam education came into being.Steam is a kind of educational idea,which is different from the traditional branch teaching,but a kind of educational idea that emphasizes practice and super discipline.Steam advocates an interdisciplinary learning style,focusing on mutual support,mutual complement and common development among disciplines.In the process of collision,we should cultivate students' skills and cognition in all aspects and emphasize the spirit of active exploration.Based on the concept of steam education,this paper takes the unit course of clothing design as the carrier,and conducts teaching practice research in the junior middle school of compulsory education,so as to help students break the barriers between disciplines and cultivate their comprehensive ability.This research is divided into the following five chapters:The first chapter will clarify the research background,research purpose and significance,research content and methods,and analyze the origin and development status of steam education at home and abroad by reading literature.The second chapter first defines the core concept of this paper,and determines the core characteristics of steam concept.And in-depth study of the theoretical basis of steam education,for the next teaching design to do theoretical support.The third chapter analyzes the current situation,content,goal,object,strategy,process and evaluation of junior high school art teaching based on the steam education concept.In the fourth chapter,the unit curriculum of "fashion design" under the concept of steam education is implemented,so that students can experience the power of integration in the process of learning.And the implementation effect is analyzed,evaluated and fed back to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages.The fifth chapter summarizes and rethinks this research,and looks forward to the future development of steam education.
