Novel reading aids of the current textbooks edited by Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for junior middle school students reflects the editor's intentions and implements the requirements of the new chinese curriculum standards.It plays an important role in helping teachers improve teaching efficiency,stimulates students' interest in novel reading,and improves students' ability of novel reading comprehension.Therefore,combing and analyzing the novel reading aids of the current textbooks for junior middle school students,as well as combining teaching practices to explore how to use the novel reading aids to solve some problems in novel reading teaching,is an important research topic in reading teaching in the junior middle school.The thesis consists of the following parts:The introduction mainly introduces the research background,significance,related concepts and research methods,and makes a preliminary review of the current research status of novel reading teaching and novel reading aids.The first chapter gives an overview of the fiction texts and the novel reading aids in the current textbooks of junior middle school,explains the arrangement of the fiction texts and the novel reading aids which are composed of the tips,illustrations,exercises,annotations,supplementary knowledge and characters.Furthermore,this part also explains the significance of novel reading teaching and the value of the novel reading aids.The second chapter reveals the main problems existing in the current novel reading teaching in junior middle school from two dimensions of teaching and learning,makes use of forms to present the current situation of the use of the novels reading aids in the textbooks such as unclear understanding and insufficient use,relying too much on extra-curricular resources etc.And analyzes the causes of these problems.The third chapter,combining with teaching practice,puts forward views into the use of the novel reading aids in the novel reading teaching.First of all,it points out that the understanding of the novel reading aids must be fully promoted through the novel reading teaching.And then proposes the author's own opinions and suggestions on how to use the five types of novel reading aids like the tips,annotations,illustrations,practices and supplementary knowledge in the novel reading teaching.The fourth chapter,takes the teaching of the modern novel Kong Yiji and the classical Chinese novel Wolf for examples to states the details when using novel reading aids in the current textbooks in junior middle schools,and shows the author's using process in the novel reading teaching.I hope that I can use my own rough teaching practice and humble views to inspire others,and be enlightened by the experts and scholars so that this research is able to be further improved and developed.The conclusion,generally summarizes the main content of the thesis,demonstrates the original intention of the research,expresses the many shortcomings of the essay due to limited teaching experience and inadequate knowledge and the determination to continue to explore and gradually improve as soon as the teacher occupation begins in the future.
