Reading motivation refers to the internal psychological process and internal dynamic process of individual reading activities,which are guided,stimulated and maintained by reading goals.It is the specific performance of learning motivation in the field of reading,and plays an important role in students' reading activities.With the development of the times and the continuous reform of education to meet the needs of the modern society,more and more researchers focus on the students' reading motivation,and pay attention to its role in students' reading activities.Although the study of reading motivation has been developed,there are some shortcomings.Based on the previous research,this paper summarizes the relevant experience and puts forward the following research aspects according to the understanding of reading teaching.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background and research status of reading motivation.On the basis of summarizing the previous studies,this paper puts forward the relevant research methods,and clarifies the significance of the research.The second part includes the first chapter and the second chapter.The first chapter mainly expounds the theoretical basis of this paper and the design of the questionnaire,including the purpose of the survey,the object of the survey,the preparation of the questionnaire,and the description of the reliability and validity.At the same time,the recovery and processing of the data are explained.The second chapter investigates the situation of middle school students' reading motivation and its impact on reading literacy,and analyzes it from five dimensions:self-realization,self-efficacy,social expectation,competition demand and social interaction.After that,we use spss to analyze the correlation and regression between the questionnaire data and reading achievement.The data shows that there is a significant positive relationship between students'self-realization,social communication factors and reading literacy.There is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and reading literacy.Social expectations and competitive needs have no significant correlation with reading literacy.Finally,to explain the survey data,which reflects the comprehensive and rigorous nature of the study.The third part includes the third chapter and the fourth chapter.The third chapter puts forward relevant suggestions for cultivating students' reading motivation.It mainly includes the following three aspects:First,to stabilize internal demand and improve reading motivation,this is the starting point for students to read.Secondly,provide strategic support,strengthen reading motivation and focus on the guidance of teachers in reading teaching.Finally,with the help of external incentives,the motivation for reading is consolidated,and a good peripheral environment is provided for cultivating students'motivation for reading.The fourth chapter explains the problems that should be paid attention to in the process of cultivating students' reading motivation.It mainly focuses on the purpose of cultivating reading motivation,understanding the current situation of students' reading motivation,handling the relationship between teachers and students,paying attention to the follow-up and evaluation,and cultivating the consciousness of reflection in teaching.
